In terms of Lead Actress, I’m currently thinking that Robbie wins.
She will have to take it from Michelle Yeoh’s cold, dead hands.

Damn, that TTP jump.

Can smile return to #1 for a day Thurs?
It passed Morbius today.
Considering Ends is losing all their premium format theaters to Blackadam, probably

Halloween Kills dropped 71% on weekend 2. Morbius dropped 74%. I don't see Halloween Ends dropping below 75%. Personally think the drop will be between 77-78%.
Let us not forget that it’s losing every decent auditorium it has to Adam and Ticket.
80% is on the table, especially with the end scene being easily watchable online

And it’s only $352k away from passing Secret Life of Pets to be Illuminations #1 grosser domestically.

I thoroughly enjoyed both Amsterdam and See How They Run, someone’s gonna have to explain what’s bad about them

Are there people who truly believe Halloween Ends will actually gross more than Ticket to Paradise? This planet continues to amaze me.
I’m convinced TtP is poised for a huge breakout.

Well, I was partly right, I suspected Clerks 3 had a chance at doing a number that would challenge for first, and it performed above expectations, only thing I didn’t see coming was Barbadian doing as well as it is.
However, props to Justin Long, who was in the top two films at the box office yesterday.

That’s a nice $400k jump from the Monday estimate for SuperPets

We are definitly on track for a bunch of 5M and lower bomb openers just like last Fall if marketing and reviews don't combine for a strong enough combo to draw audiences. The Woman King, Bros, White Bird, Barbarian, Pearl, DWD, Prey for the Devil, Amsterdam, Ticket to Paradise. It is gonna be a rough Fall for theaters. The one I see breaking out from the September lineup if it has good reviews is Smile.
Ticket to Paradise could be big, though.
Julia doing a romcom again, Clooney back in his wheelhouse, solid trailer, excellent counter programming for Black Adam.

And now we sleep until The Woman King because this coming weekend might have no movies above 4M (and certainly nothing over 5M).
I think there’s a non zero chance Clerks 3 hits #1 next Tuesday, considering Fathom pricing.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot did $691k on its first day of Fathom, which would be likely more than enough for first place that day.

SuperPets is estimating a 15% Sat-Sun drop.

Notable that Orphan was the only opener to break the 10% of weekend threshold on Monday.

Technically, Endgame opened the last weekend of April, so wouldn’t that make Maverick #1

Surprised at that E.T. PTA, it’s doing pretty well at Disney Springs, 55 seats sold already for the two shows today, that’s about $650+, must be some empty theaters.

I went to see Crawdads this afternoon. Very pleasant little movie. Anyways, I saw the trailer for that Clooney/Roberts/Kaitlyn Dever comedy that’s coming out?
Good god George and Julia look like they’ve taken a covid paycheck for that. Maybe they thought the movies really were dead when they signed up for it? Who knows, the movie might be good but it’s an awful trailer. Mortifying for them actually.
Everyone I’ve talked to, myself included, thought the trailer looked hilarious.
I have high hopes for it.

The Numbers is showing Pets’s estimate is down to $7 million even, so looks like Maverick will get second place after all

Do we think TGM will stay over the line today and tomorrow to tie Avatar this weekend?
and does anyone know how many days ETs streak was?

Based on current drop rates, it’s not improbable that TGM climbs to third next weekend.

I was not expecting Bullet Train to be a slamming door farce, it I sure was delighted that it is.
