  1. Looks like better Sat increases compared to last week. Makes me hope for 5M for TGM. If that happens looking at ~12.2+ (-21%). 5.1+ would mean that it can try for the 3rd best 8th weekend in history.
  2. Wed - 9.1 Thu - 8.2 (-10%) Fri - 12.3 (+50%) Sat - 17.2 (+40%) Sun - 12.9 (-25%) 42.4M (-71%). That's a Morbius, BVS level drop. Disastrous.
  3. Wait??? EC is banned? Wt actual fuck. I mean, sure, you can make the argument that he's condescending and a bit of a dick, but he IS the most valuable poster here, no doubt. No offense to Charlie or Rth (who's here like 4 times a year). Purely from a numbers perspective he's the most engaging user here. Of course that doesn't give him any right to be rude to others. These next two months are dead at the BO and they're gonna be deader than usual here because of this ban.
  4. Hope the MCU clears this year with an absolute banger in BP2 (In BO obviously, don't really care about quality of any of these movies). TLT having less admits than Ragnarok is definitely underwhelming, at least with DS2 you could argue that it grew 75% over the predecessor.
  5. Best 6th week numbers of all time for the top 20 grossers. Absolutely mental that TGM is holding on to Avatar still: 1. Avatar - 47.67M 2. Top Gun: Maverick - 43.37M 3. Frozen 2 - 33.79M (Christmas) 4. Titanic - 32.83M 5. Black Panther - 25.18M 6. The Phantom Menace- 22.32M 7. Incredibles 2- 19.81M 8. The Force Awakens - 19.61M 9. Spider-Man: No Way Home - 18.00M 10. Jurassic World - 17.13M 11. The Avengers - 16.84M 12. Avengers: Infinity War - 15.39M 13. The Dark Knight - 14.79M 14. Beauty and the Beast - 12.58M 15. Avengers: Endgame - 11.88M 16. Finding Dory- 11.81M 17. The Lion King - 11.74M 18. Rogue One - 9.76M 19. The Last Jedi - 8.82M 20. The Rise of Skywalker - 7.45M
  6. It made 1.81x BP on day 40. BP made nearly 65M from this point which translates to 1.81x 65 = 118M for TGM. That's about a final total of 690M.
  7. TGM might fall below 3M this Thurs. (Day 42). Maybe 2M next Thurs (49). Should leg out well enough for day 56,63 and even 70 over 1M.
  8. It can make do with 40% drop. This week looks like ~43M (-8%). 40% drop for the next week and 20% drops for the subsequent weeks are enough for ~705M. Of course, this is without accounting for LDW expansion.
  9. Now that the holiday boosts are basically done, interested to see how TGM holds against Thor. Should do very well to make another 16M next weekend.
  10. Best 6th weekends of all time in history: 1. Avatar - 34.94M 2. Top Gun: Maverick - 25.54M 3. Titanic - 25.24M 4. Frozen - 19.58M 5. Black Panther - 17.09M 6. Frozen II - 16.89M 7. The Sixth Sense - 16.51M 8. Mrs. Doubtfire - 16.35M 9. Jumanji: WTTJ - 16.14M 10. Toy Story - 15.59M
  11. 7.6 10.3 (+35%) 10.3 8.5 // 28.2 (-5%)// 36.2 // ~575M Lower Sat bump has to be expected as Fri is inflated by Canadian holiday and further some Sat business will shift to Sun.
  12. The summer continues to surprise us in many mysterious ways. Depending on legs, Minions can likely finish over TB and even JWD. Imagine telling someone the summer Top 3 would be Top Gun 2, Minions 2 and Thor 4.
  13. Aren't matinees shows discounted besides the usual kid's discount? Something to keep in mind as previews might not be as inflated by early showtimes as we think.
  14. Wow a failure of epic proportions for Lightyear, if it already wasn't.
  15. Assuming 48M (-30%) full week, that's 539M by Thursday. 20% drops from there on - ~725M. 30% drops - ~650M
  16. 4.6 5.3 4.7 4.7 7.5 (+60%) 11.3 (+50%) 10.7 (-5%) // 29.5 (-0.3%)
  17. Can see TGM replicate BP's Dom, OS, and WW run. Always fun to see a film that made 699.9M struggle to make that last 100k for months.
  18. Best fifth Fridays of all time in history: 1. Avatar - 10.39M 2. Top Gun: Maverick - 8.25M 3. Black Panther - 7.48M 4. Titanic - 7.42M 5. Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 6.33M 6. The Avengers - 5.64M 7. Zootopia - 5.58M 8. Jurassic World - 5.42M 9. The Sixth Sense - 5.35M 10. Spider-Man: No Way Home - 5.18M
  19. Best 5th weekends of all time in history: 1. Avatar - 42.79M 2. Top Gun: Maverick - ~32M 3. Titanic - 30.01M 4. Frozen - 28.59M 5. Black Panther - 26.65M 6. The Force Awakens - 26.34M 7. The Sixth Sense - 22.89M 8. The Avengers - 20.49M 9. Spider-Man: No Way Home - 20.09M 10. Jumanji: WTTJ - 19.51M How can anyone call this number disappointing in any sense. If last week wasn't inflated, it'll be looking at -18% or so this week.
  20. The best 4th week totals among the top 20 highest grossing films of all time. Remarkable that TGM is keeping up with Avatar. 1. Avatar - 69.93M 2. Top Gun: Maverick - 69.05M 3. Black Panther - 57.49M 4. The Avengers - 55.78M 5. The Force Awakens - 55.55M 6. Jurassic World - 45.24M 7. Incredibles 2 - 44.24M 8. No Way Home - 42.19M 9. Avengers: Endgame - 39.94M 10. The Dark Knight - 39.19M 11. Avengers: Infinity War - 38.83M 12. The Phantom Menace - 37.88M 13. Titanic - 37.57M 14. Beauty and the Beast - 33.72M 15. Finding Dory - 32.24M 16. The Last Jedi - 31.31M 17. The Lion King - 31.10M 18. Rogue One: ASWS - 29.79M 19. Frozen II - 26.87M 20. The Rise of Skywalker - 20.54M
