  1. Wow now Zaslav is going after classic like Sesame Street, hopefully he doesn't touch the classics like Scooby Doo and all the old Cartoon Network shows.

This is becoming really embarrassing for WB and the person brings up a great point, Zaslav has this vision for how he sees WBD. What happens when everything he's done turns off those big creators or actors from working with him?

Cause every creator and actor is seeing what Zaslav is doing right now and is probably making a decision on whether they want to go into business with this man who clearly has no understanding of how Hollywood works.

It's becoming very clear to me that Zaslav is in over his head. Now will he step down before he completely destroys WB or will he just take WB down with him?

Looks like Fox News style programming is dying a very quick death in the UK. Praise God.

If you don’t know: this was meant to be a new right-wing nonsense news channel. The problem is our media standards people, OfCom, doesn’t really allow for fringe-conspiracy style reporting of Fox News, and frankly as an audience the U.K. just isn’t that used to that style of Broadcasting (the US versions of CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News are just insane to me - heavy opinion broadcasting just isn’t a thing here).

FN, CNN, MSNBC they all brainwash their viewership. One America News is probably THE worst "news" outlet in the USA. You may as well call it the KKK network, with the garbage that is on it.

I'd say the most middleground and that's not saying much is ABC but honestly the most reliable and honest reports of anything going on in the USA is BBC News because they have no bias or agenda when reporting stuff in the USA.

  3. For people wondering why he has a shaved head this is when

    Spoiler

Snow becomes a peacekeeper in District 12 and he has to get his head shaved. The pants he is wearing in the pic are the bottom portion of the peacekeeper uniform.

Some people on Twitter bashing the look clearly never read the book.

If over for you before it even began if you just downgrade to CW showrunners.

Them making 3 goods shows out of 10-12 is not exactly a great track record even by current DCEU standards

Hate them all you want but they all found their own audience.

I watched Arrow till S5, Flash till S4, Batwoman till S2, Black Lightning till the finale, and I watched Legends of Tomorrow until cancellation. That was a very enjoyable show.

If the CW guy is gonna run the DCEU we saw how successful he made the CW DC shows off of absolutely zero budget, lets see what he can do with an actual legit budget at his disposal.

I get their dilemma. DCEU films have yet to really achieve both massive critical and commercial success together outside of the first Wonder Woman. If they think Flash could be their No Way Home, canning it is probably incredibly difficult. But also I don't see critics being nice to this movie anyways cause they'll all have been following this saga on social media.

The dilmena is that Flash movie literally does something that NEEDS to happen in order for the DCEU to move on forward the way Zaslav and WB wants to, the movie needs to be released just for that purpose.

  6. Boy let me tell you that under 200 million domestic for a movie that's probably taken 300 million to make especially with reshoots and all is gonna be so worth it just because the story will get us to where WB wants to start their new DCEU.

Is it really worth it WB for you to look so unbelievably bad by having this piece of trash in front of all your posters.

At this point just call the film Flashpoint or something and just keep Ezra off of everything.

  7. You know I was just curious I remember the opening weekend for Batman V Superman they came out and said that it would kick off 10 films that would all lead up to a Green Lantern movie in 2020.

Safe to say those plans changed...and yet now about 8 years later they got plans for 10 years. Consider me skeptical cause you could have all these plans and your first movie flops and then what happens? The rest of the movies don't continue going on ahead because they "were not profitable" according to Zaslav.

  8. The Flash is clearly a movie that needs to be released Ezra Miller controversy be damned, so I laughed my ass of when he was talking about we have to protect the legacy of DC and it's characters. Yeah and the way to do that is have a psychopath who is literally running from police as we speak as the titular character of the film and promotion for the film.

    Sounds like a smart move.

  9. Quote

For now, though, the company’s existing streaming services HBO Max and Discovery+ will remain their own products, and on Thursday the company took its first step in using its larger content library to beef up those two offerings.

If that's the case why are they cancelling all the HBO Max originals makes zero sense, do they truly think that people will watch their shit on HBO Max? Two completely different demographics.

Reading between the lines, it seems to me that the big picture new strategy here is to “diversify”, that it to seek solid, marginal profits spread over a lot of smaller entities

Which is fine for cable channels, even the lower level streaming stuff, all of which is Zaslov’s background … but not for a major studio (WB) and streaming service (HBO) that relies more heavily on the big budget, brand name, showy releases to bring people in and let them find their way to the smaller stuff

In addition, we’re likely entering a period of consolidation following the streaming boom, as there are already too many options for too few subscribers, making bundles better value and more like to succeed, so to apparently try to go in the opposite direction is a curious choice

I give this guy 3 years before he is fired. But it's the damage he's gonna do in the meantime that is the scary part.
