Usually with quarterly's people get excited over the new announcements coming, sometimes some great shows get announced.
I have never seen a quarterly where there's so much negativity surrounding it.
I honestly think Zaslav won't even last 3 years before finding his way out.

I mean this is the one move I support that trailer was horrific.

Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol, and Titans likely cancelled.
Titans and Harley Quinn all got renewed before this as well.

When Zaslav loses millions of subscribers at the next quarterly I'm going to laugh my ass off.
Absolutely no one below the age of 40 gives a shit about these trash reality shows and HG TV when the housing market is at an all time low because of insane interest rates.

Wow Zaslav saved roughly 20-29% by cancelling a film. Oh you should feel so proud.
Oh and now you have pissed off a huge fanbase, you created immense negative backlash for your streaming service, and to top it all off you pissed off Hollywood.
Sure hope that was worth it you cheap asshole.

Young Justice is once again gonna be screwed over despite being top tier animation.

Multiversus would be a pretty easy moneymaker.
Seriously especially with all the glowing reviews so far.

So safe to say movies that have been greenlit by WB and are in development are still good to go like Dune 2, Batman 2, and Mortal Kombat 2.

Just seen a list of at-risk shows and Hacks, Peacemaker and And Just Like That were on it. So I won’t be happy if those get canned.
Where's this list at? James Gunn said Peacemaker S2 is okay.

I’m increasingly losing hope that The Batman 2 is even happening.
I don't think there's no chance in hell that gets cancelled, likewise with Dune 2.

Geez at this point Batman 2 might release before any of these films.

Ever since The Dark Knight trilogy, DC has been in a very dark time.
The only quality content over at DC are the fantastic animated films. They shit all over the DCEU.

Zaslav truly thinks the Disney + Marvel shows could have been made into MCU films and Disney stupidly lost money putting them on streaming. This guys a freaking moron.
Sure as if the quality of the MCU isn't already at an all time low lets have Ms. Marvel be released as a theatrical film, let's bore the audience to tears and make even more cringeworthy jokes then Thor Love and Thunder. Oh but at the end we'll have an easter egg from a 90's cartoon show that if you were not from that era will fly right over your head.
Ms. Marvel couldn't even crack the top 10 in Nielson but sure it would have grossed a lot at the box office...

Warner should definitely be in the name, whatever it is.

Zaslav when he realizes he can't make quality superhero films for less than 100 million dollars.

The belief is that the Disney+ Marvel shows could have been packaged to be released in cinemas first, and they have been leaving money on the table.
Zaslav is a braindead idiot.

This is almost certainly what will happen. Projects like The Staircase, The Flight Attendant, etc. are all the kinds of shows that easily would've fit perfectly within HBO's brand of quality television and should've premiered there instead of being touted as streaming exclusives (which only makes it clear that their overall goals for the streaming service were scattershot from the beginning). The DC projects don't fit in with that brand though so who knows what will become of them.
The new Gossip Girl, PLL Original Sin, and Sex Life have all been very well received so it won't surprise me if those all go to HBO as well. Let's not forget HBO has Euphoria so it's not like none of these shows match the same demographic as Euphoria.
Also the new PLL show is actually really damn good. I never watched the original nor will I but it's got the feel of a retro slasher film so I'm definitely interested to see it continue.
Our Flags Mean Death also got renewed prior to this news so I don't think they will take that back either.
The DC shows like Titans and Peacemaker will probably all just become HBO originals.

but how much money did SS make? That’s kind of my point.
Batgirl, no matter how good or bad it is, wasn’t going to make a dime really.
We don’t know how bad the projections look over at WB for the investment they’ve put in for streaming.

Suicide Squad made close to 750 million dollars.

FWIW there's been a tweet going around that The Flash now carries a $300M budget (I sure hope not lol) and I think we all have to agree there's pretty much no chance of that seeing a profit at this point. But you don't see anyone calling for it to be thrown into a furnace all because it faces such an uphill battle to make money (of course there are other reasons why a lot of people want to see that movie buried but that's a completely different story).
It would not surprise me if one of the announcements at the quarterly is that movie is canned.
Seems Zaslav is ready to just destroy everything WB had before.
-
My viewpoint of Zaslav is he's just a cheap mofo involving himself in something way too big to comprehend.
-
Ooh it's negative after negative with this guy. He's really messing with the wrong demographic here.

Throwing this away makes even less sense than Batgirl since the budget was "only" $40M and Scooby-Doo has always been a license to print money. I can't imagine why anyone would now want to work for a studio that has revealed they have no problem tossing away completed projects just for tax reasons unless absolutely no one else would hire them.
Also this movie followed the budget Zaslav had for HBO Max so it just makes no sense whatsoever. He wants to cater to people that are closer to the grave then people that are gonna be creating the future. His strategy makes zero sense and going into a quarterly meeting I'm shocked that there's so much negative press but at least people are talking about him.
It's just all just incredibly negative press.

I honestly don't see the point if all the new content is gonna be reality tv shows and no new scripted shows. He's delusional if he thinks the 76 million subscribers to HBO Max simply have it because of its legacy library like Friends and other shows people watch whenever they want.
In fact hasn't it been proven through data that legacy libraries can't maintain subscribers. They stay because of the new content. If all you're offering is new HG TV and other crappy reality then all the other demographics are gonna cancel the service.
