  1. I'd be curious to know what talent is gonna wanna work for a company that can refuse to nix your stuff all together after months of hard work.

Especially with nixing 6 original HBO Max films off the service which I'm sure will infuriate all the actors/actresses and talent behind the scenes.

Zaslav is messing with Hollywood in a way it's never been messed with and it can end very badly for him and WBD.

I refuse to get Discovery + so I'll just go back to HBO streaming service rather then give Discovery + any of my money for cheap stupid reality TV garbage.

It's gonna be a combo - to make the rumor simpler - there were 3 groups at corporate - HBO, HBO Max, and Discovery Plus.  Originally, it was though Discovery Plus would take the big hit in its budget, staff and programming when they merged HBO Max and Discovery Plus (which is thought to be a certainty to come).  Instead, this week (from the canceling of family Max programming and leaving it to Cartoon Network to provide to now canceling major Max movies) has shown its the Max part getting gutted with the other 2 keeping their stuff...

So all the HBO Max originals that are very successful and are very anticipated like Our Flags Mean Death S2, Euphoria, Succession, House of the Dragon, Peacemaker, Young Justice, Sex Life of College Girls, The new PLL, The new Gossip Girl, I'm probably missing others are gonna go to HBO now?

  3. There's something very funny about the dumbass that filmed a dead body in a suicide forest not liking Nope because it deals with the theme of society needing everything to be a spectacle. He did not like that the movie was targeting what is wrong with people like himself.

How that man still has any semblance of a career after the crap he pulled in Japan I will never know.

  4. September is gonna be so damn interesting. Not just with the box office, but two streaming juggernauts going head to head.

House of the Dragon which is being met with immense positive reception despite the completely destruction of GOT in its final season that makes the series almost pointless.  Rings of Power which has been panned by a lot of the fans on Youtube with 178,000 dislikes on the Youtube vid and I have no idea why. Would love to know from any LOTR fans why people are bashing the crap out of the 2 minute teaser and I hope it's a lot more then they decided to add diversity to the cast.

  5. I have never seen a fanbase defend a film the way Marvel fans do. To me aside from No Way Home, Phase 4 has been a whole lot of meh to bad.

Marvel released a tweet that said Phase 4 is over 50 hours of content. 50 hours of content and yet only 10 hours is watchable IMO.

Love and Thunder's cheeziness reminded me of the first Suicide Squad movie and that got ripped apart by fans alike as a movie that had no plot or substance and felt like just a 2 hour dump of montages.

Those same people that trashed Suicide Squad defend Love and Thunder. Yet the two share a lot of things in common. From it's all over cheeziness to it's non-existent plotline.

I don't agree. A 6 parts miniseries, with that standard and budget and so connected to the movies for the big screen needs more dedication, attention and energy than a series like Agent Carter or Agents of Shield.

The 6 episode format for Disney has got to stop. It's always the same. A good 3 episodes, then trash  2 episode filler, followed by a good finale.

Stranger Things Season 4 was great. I am ok with streaming channels. But if you want to cram MCU into 4 movies and 5 tv series an year, you are asking for trouble. Its impossible to maintain quality when you are pumping out products like a factory.

That said MCU is not in trouble. not when your last 3 movies had previews over 50m, 36m and now 29m.

I enjoyed it but they gotta kill off some main characters which I think they will in the shows final season. It's getting way to overcrowded. The fan favorite Steve just screams hero death sacrificing himself to save everyone.

  8. Listen there's people that will watch an anime that has over 1000 + episodes, which intimidates the hell out of me regardless of it being one of the most popular animes of all time.

I also started getting back into Scrubs, which I only ever watched in scattershot fashion in syndication on Comedy Central in the late 2000s.

The show ends at Season 8 remember that and you will be golden. The 9th season is fake.

  9. Are people of the belief that the pandemic has changed how audiences view TV/Streaming/Movies now? I think it has, because it's taught people to be patient and wait a time they normally wouldn't wait. 45 days is not a lot to wait for a movie to hit a streaming service.

I will be honest and say that a lot of times now I will just wait until a season finishes airing before bingewatching all of it. The only ones I didn't do this for are Obi Wan and Stranger Things.

The Marvel shows honestly need to stop the 6 episode model, it really ruins the pace of the show. I don't know why they stopped the 8/9 episode which to me was the perfect amount.

Each Marvel show has followed the same formula. Solid for the first 2-3 episode takes a massive nosedive the following 2 episodes then recovers for a very well done finale.

Then you got excellent shows like The Boys that give you a quality 8 episodes and TBH the Boys and Invisible crap all over the other MCU shows.

Amazon, Netflix, and HBOMax are really all you need imo.

Eh if you have kids Disney + is a godsend. Also Paramount Plus is there just cause of it's Nickelodeon collection. Spongebob literally will keep your kids silent for hours.

Peacock is probably the most useless.
