    Am not suggesting it as a comp per se just noting that TLM had really strong presales despite those garbage trailers. Guess missed opportunity. could have done billie or close with better lead like Zendaya.

    May be use GxK. Dune 2 is a very bad comp for most films. Yes it may work coincidentally with something. looks like $14.5-15M

    As I posted y’day, walkups were incredible. In fact the final 3 days have been awesome. A week out there was genuine chance of it ending sub $40M but turned out strongly in final days to looking like high 40s and with great walkups now $52m+

    Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes MiniTC2 Final Thursday - 8917/50526 (183 showings) $115K Very strong walkups. Considering where sales were a day prior, even 7K would have been a good result. This would normally mean $5.5-5.75M THU. Based on MTC1 nos. probably $5.5M likely.

    So lot of complains about low opening of Fall Guy. Just watched its trailer. Couldn't get a single laugh. $28M seems right about what it should open to. Anyone expecting higher is their fault.

    ATP of $20 for THU? Seems VERY HIGH. Civil War actual gross was well short last week vs tracked and checking on that, ATP there was $19 T-1. Wonder if something off there.

Wonder if this is universally the case or just MiniTC2. Comps (FRI) 1.57x of Avatar gross - $5.2M 1.73x Titanic - $4.7M Depending on how wide the release is, can see $3M+ FRI, may be even $4M.
