Some March movies Sunday to full run multiples
The Hunger Games - 7.34x
300: Rise of Empire - 5.35x
Logan - 5.72x
Kong Skull Island - 6.35x
Captain Marvel - 6.61x
6.6x get it to $335M. With SUN hold of just 23% drop, I think this can do 7x surely. On top of that lack of competition, won't be surprised with 7.5x as well. That would be $384M. My pick would close to latter.
I don't understand the big deal they all making of this whole thing.
Also IDK how they getting this so wrong. Their ATPs are way off.
AMC reported that 5M people in US watched NWH during weekend in press release. The gross was $64.05M. That's ATP of $12.81. Even our tracking was giving us under $13.75 ATP during weekend assuming all seats sold were adult ones, so actual ATP was close to $12.75-13 only.
And here's ENT telling us AMC ATP was $13.92 for NWH
Per my estimates, Top 3 chains had around 12.5M admits for NWH ($153M gross) and overall 23M approx admits for the weekend.
Looks like $115-120M weekend.
~$55M in Europe - 89% of CM - Good
~$10M in Middle East - 100% of CM - Good
~$27M in LATAM - 70% of CM - Decent
~$16M in Asia - 25% of CM - Ehh
~$9M in Oceania - 75% of CM - Good
Overall 63% of Captain Marvel.
Good news is that its doing best in those markets which have longer legs and this having good WoM can actually leg for better total in Europe.
