So MTC 1 started late? My data is way way way higher. Color Purple comp for me is 45% though TCP underindexed for me and this may be overindexing.

Dune will also face same issue though probably not as bad as Oppy but Oppy also got a big push due to barbenheimer which wont happen here.

Before 2023, Indian films used to release of 30 odd cineplex locs and 7-8 Landmark. Now its gone to nearly 90 in Cineplex and 10-15 Landmark. Soon they may start covering 125+ Cineplex.

Previews pace is very good I would say.

and that's why I used T-7, by then its all common playground.

The only MCU title with direct Day & Date streaming in some form is Black Widow. That was 87K and ended with 247K.

Dune 1 was more presales heavier & frontloaded than 2021 MCU films iirc. Oppy is good comp though, Wonka naah. T-7 Dune was 40K in MTC1 & ended with 95K. Marvels was 56K & ended with 135K. Eternals, which had abysmal ending was 78K & ended with 185K.

This is bad. Should be selling much better in just IMAX shows.

Another addition could be adding EA and Previews gross. Sometime studios dont separate them, not a big issue at that time but in future there is lack of comp information.

Eh. Was just joking. Ofc you can dislike or find anything overrated. Its totally subjective. Fans are always confident of everything. Cant expect them to be reasonable. Always had my doubts on film like Dunki doing big in current times. It has done decent enough, so that’s it.

That’s a strech. Avatar 2 barely made 10M admits. Avatar 5 will open well under Avatar 2 IMO.

Its more like Avatar didnt open all that big in SEA

It means other films were closing on capacity with spillovers going to Aquaman which has excess capacity.

It is mostly surviving on spillovers. Pre-sales in morning were par Migration.

TCP 15.4M Xmas day. 2.8M previews from last few weeks.

Aquaman has started the day par Migration today. TCP is around 15% ahead of Wonka.

BTW reported nos. for TCP will include private shows from last few weeks. They could be $1-2M. So reported nos. be $18M range.
