  1. So less than Wolf Warrior 2, that's rather surprising. Besides, naah. Australia 20 location is wide enough I guess. A$524k isn't exactly number that required more location. That's likely be the ceiling.

  3. As for the other movies in the market, here are the estimated cumes through Sunday: Crazy Alien – RMB 1,447.3M ($214.7M) Pegasus – RMB 1,042.2M ($154.6M) The New King Of Comedy – RMB 531M ($78.8M) Boonie Bears: Blast Into The Past – RMB 460.5M ($68.3M) The Knight Of Shadows – RMB 128.5M ($$19M) Peppa Celebrates Chinese New Year – RMB 111.9M ($16.6M) Integrity – RMB 94.8 ($14M)
  4. From comScore Wandering Earth, The $172,718,000 Intl Wknd $172,718,000 Dom Wknd Worldwide Cume $289,090,290 Intl Cume $289,090,290 Dom Cume Intl MULTI Terrs 3 Dom CMCF
  5. I guess 30 years from now, I will say so on some forum that I tracked The Wandering Earth box office, when China will be World's biggest market, by margin.
  6. So almost majority on BOT forum are in their late 20s or 30s. That's bit older than the box office audience in India. Majority in India, who have a thing for box office are below 25.
  7. 39 states make more sense. Besides I have asked for USA numbers, will make it clear.
  8. ¥50,440,000 presales for Monday. Compared to ¥79.5mn on Sunday. ¥275mn Monday?
  9. Weekend multiplier is good. I thought Batman LEGO weekend would give it $29mn weekend. 34mn sounds impressive.
  10. FSS China weekend excluding previews 1. TheFate of the Furious - ¥1289mn ($187.39mn) 2. Avengers: Infinity War - ¥1212mn ($191.46mn) 3. The Wandering Earth - ¥1206mn ($179.32mn) 4. Monster Hunt - ¥1204mn ($189.7mn) 5. Dying to Survive - ¥1006mn ($151.8mn)
  11. I think 3.25x legs at best, though I believe it may be as low as 3x as well. The film was more frontloaded in opening day than Batman. 29 weekend and 87 final imo. Edit: Weekend trend is much much better than the most optimistic projections. Might do 3.2x to $108mn
  12. At 21:00 CST TWE at ¥400mn. That's good but added only ¥5mn in last 30 minutes. Final day will be ¥410mn Approx but final number will be adjusted to ¥408mn tomorrow.
  13. ₹250cr Nett can't be ruled out at this moment. At end of day, will need ₹37cr Approx to do so. Baahubali 2 added ₹14cr after ₹3.5cf 5th Sunday i.e. 4x. Uri-The Surgical Strike will have ₹6-6.5cr 5th Sunday, that will put it ₹24-26cr after today, i.e. ₹237-240cr. Since the trending is better than Baahubali 2, we can expect ₹245-250cr.
  14. Not that it make sense, but if a case is to be made, Infinity War 6 days USA in term of ¥2.038 Billion, roughly what TWE made in China but then A:IW had almost 7 days as it made $40mn in Thursday midnight. TFA made 363mn in 7 days or say $325mn in 6 days excluding $38mn Wednesday, exchange rate of that time would give ¥2.106 billion. Again, I don't know if that make sense or not.
  15. In last 50 minutes added ¥24mn. At this pace, will be around ¥405-410mn at 21:00 compared to ¥370mn yesterday. Saturday added ¥44mn post 21:00, assuming this add ¥35mn only, that will put Sunday at ¥440-445mn. Will certainly cross ¥2 Billion today, for cume at ¥2.032 Billion or $301.3 million. FSS only will be ¥1.235 Billion or $183.28 million. If I am not wrong, this will be the biggest weekend ever for a local film.
  16. At 18:10 CST ¥330mn. Added ¥124mn in last 4 hours 10 minutes. Very good pace. May do ¥400mn afterall if this pace continue.
  17. I don't know how this area performs as a sample, but if its doing almost half of Infinity War, which had like crazy presales, $160mn weekend is kind of locked as IW had more initial rush then normal film, as it happened in China or India.
