I am bummed about the release date change, because JC is responsible for two of my favorite movies (Aliens & Terminator 1) and I wanted to see more from him... that being said, the timing of the announcement was just perfect, coming on the heels of one poster willing to bet money that this would come out in 2020.

With 736-740M total after the next weekend, this is going to leg it out past 900M.

I'm projecting a strong Tuesday increase. I think the little differences are all going to get us to the same place, around 45 million weekdays.

I figured 35% was a normal Tuesday increase for a movie in it's 3rd weekend. Thought about using Captain Marvel as a comp but that increased 47% on it's 3rd Tuesday. What was A:IW's increase at this point in it's run?

I never saw Titanic in a theater, but after watching it on HBO during a work trip, I wish I had. I'll watch it any time/anywhere it shows up. And for the record, Kate's boobs (and everything else) are spectacular!!

Your post made me chuckle, because I was just thinking the same thing. For me, not only did I get the epic movie I wanted, and a spectacular opening weekend, but now I get to read about how the second weekend (which is going to be the biggest weekend of May) is a disappointment.

117M Weekdays during a non-holiday work week is a MONSTER haul. The floor for the weekend will be 151M, with a lower-than-normal 95% bump for Friday and a 25% decrease for Sunday. At worst, it will be sitting at $625M after the weekend.

A 24% drop from Tuesday to Wednesday to 25.2M, just like Charlie said. Number keeps bumping up today. Can the actual go up a little more?? Thursday: 23.1 (-8.5%) Total Weekdays: 118.3!!! I think the second weekend gonna be 163M (-54%)

That would be great. I'm erring on the low side for this weekend. I think any number above 150 million for a second weekend would be amazing!!

If I may ask, are you using pre-sales data to reach this conclusion, or are using other films as a basis of modeling?? That seems like a too-good-to-be-true kind of hold.
