  2. Ive heard Brampton described in many ways, but Ive never heard it described as India lol. Im not agreeing or disagreeing, im just saying thats a new analogy for me
  3. Ill see what I can dig up that might be comparable when a get some moments. Lifes been keeping me busy lately lol I wasnt sure what would be comparable to Dune-Ill have to dig way back to see if I can find original Dune ones-Im not sure if MCU would be same, but heres a couple from Toronto durings T-2 Toronto # theatre #show Seats Sold Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent Thurs 4 39 1979 6467 8446 0.2344 Fri 4 70 2035 15328 17363 0.1172 Montreal # theatre #show Seats Sold Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent Thurs 4 30 1184 7221 8405 0.1408 Fri 3 45 1071 12358 13429 0.0797 Antman Quantum comp T2 # theatre #show Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent Toronto Thurs 4 36 2518 7614 10132 0.2485 Fri 4 37 2248 7288 9536 0.2357 # theatre #show Seats Sold Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent Quebec Thurs 4 29 1294 6783 8077 0.1602 Fri 4 23 1078 5219 6297 0.1711 Also only a T-7 for Barbie as I think that was when I was hitting my burnout phase, so apologies for nothing closer, but still it gives some perspective (Didnt do Oppy) T-7 # theatre #show Seats Sold Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent Toronto Thurs 4 25 2187 4715 6902 0.3168 Fri 4 19 2730 2643 5373 0.5080 Going back I may not have tracked Dune, or its in the older thread.
  4. Just did Toronto- 130 plus shows I just counted for 4 theatres. Will try and get Montreal done later today. 5. Ah okay, I havent been able to follow the numbers too much recently-nevermind, everyone carry on
  6. Just adding my 2 cents to the Dune 2-it wouldnt surprise me to see this play out like *way back machine here* Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 (which was essentially one lone movie cut in half). I seem to recall that it Vol 2 made almost exactly as much as Vol 1, to the point I remember remarking on ti myself-about "wow, pretty much the same people who watched 1 watched 2-no more no less". Not saying Dune 2 will do this, but it will be interesting to see if this literally plays out as a "Dune movie cut in 2 parts" and we get almost identical box office. I say this compared to sequels which are essentially different stories different stories with same characters. Dont ask me about LOTR-that's its own beast lol

Cant glean much from this as far as any sort of how good/bad its doing, its pretty typical here for a family show 15 days out. as @vafrow commented, March Break should be when it does most of its business
  8. Family movies can be tricky with streaming. Panda is a pretty well liked IP by families, and seems to be one of those "worth it to see in theatre" family films. I may give this one a track to see how it does and as a nice counter to Dune 2. My experience is that family films that do well tend to have that add a little bit every day as you said. As long as theres steady movement it generally does pretty good.
  9. Not as much as Id like to track these days. But yes, right now Im doing Vancouver, Calgary Toronto and Montreal. Used to do east coast but there doesn't seem to be much of an interest (not to mention tracking Nova Scotia, New Brunswick NewFoundland can get VERY spotty and weird with what presales they do. Sadly dont get to track as much as Id like or as consistently as Id like, real life and all. But I try and post where I can
  10. Yea it really catches the the attention the drop from Wed to Thurs with Fridays a little bit better but not close to the Wednesday.

Its interesting to watch.
  13. These days I cant get daily counts as much as I used to, just too much going on in my real world. And yes it is FAR tto easy to fall into the "Hey im doing good with this one film, I can tackle a couple more....." until it gets nutty lol. Keeping it simple is the best way to do it I agree!
  14. The Imaxes are definitely bigger counts. For Dune I can show separately Imax themselves in addtion to the counts if that would help at all. How I keep track....... In all seriousness. Ive basically had to try and find collections of groups that I can multiply (IE 8 rows by 6 rows) and then add the other ones. I kind of do both as far as the counts. If the seat counts are low, they I simply subtract the low count number from the the total. For high seat counts, esp when they start getting more filled than unfilled, then I count the unsold seats and in do it that way. But yea its fun trying to count an Imax theatre that is approximately 65 percent or more filled. Thankfully the theatres I have are (mostly) set for their various locations and capacities, which I already have in the chart, its just doing the minusing, but yea the counting can get brutal lol Also note- this is why Im sticking to a max of 4 theatres per city, even if (Toronto) has more. It was easier with the seats sold/total seat number, but now? I really cannot do like 10 theatres in Toronto by manual counting, my brain just kind of....breaks lol I too miss the seats sold/total. For our theatre (we are calling MTC 4 I believe?) they pretty much dont have much competition. Its not like counts would give adventage to a big competing chain, so why cut those numbers?

  16. Have to wonder where it came apart here. The trailer I saw as a teaser back in 23 showed a neat idea. Cavill I thought would drive some sales, but wow.
  17. That would be interesting if in fact Valentines day even in Canada we are seeing the slightly more sales-female demo buying tickets for a female featured cast. That drop from Wed to Thurs Fri is certainly interesting. As you say its not a rom com. Have to see how the days go forward, Gotta wonder if the Wed is going to almost be an early WOM as people ask about it as they make their Thurs/Fri/Sat plans.

Across both those Looking at 5-25 seats sold approx for Today (Thurs). Looks like possibility might get some decent traffic over the weekend with walkups
