So here's just a general question I've been pondering: How much as the game changed in regards to Pre-Covid/Post Covid comps? I mean from what Ive been seeing in my tracking post covid, unless it's a MCU movie (and even then Ive seen consecutive lesser seats) or some other Tentpole like a Jurassic World, there just overall don't seem to be as many people going back to theatres. Are we at the stage where Comps are still comparable? Im certainly not suggesting Comps are worthless or anything like that, far from it, but how close are we to really focussing more now on comps from movies Post Covid and less on Pre Covid?

I have to think at some point Cineplex up here in Canada starts raising prices too, right now other than the MCU/Disney tentpoles, just across the board seeing lower seat counts for films overall, which I think will lead to the inevitable raising of admissions (and of course concessions)

So you do that comp calculation and the numbers were coming up like a 35 mil comp LOL

Im shocked you'd say such a thing. They would never ever try to raise expectations-these are seasoned veterans darn it! They know they movie industry! What possible reason would they have to heighten expectations-they wouldn't dare do such a thing to try and get views....Im shocked, SHOCKED by your Cynicism! ,,,,,,

Geez a bit early to be talking about Black Panther 2 sales right now hahaha. You had me thinking I have BP 2 tickets to check now hahahaha *checks Cineplex website* hahah ha ha.......haaa...... Oh BP 2 is on sale now.........

I belong in the third category To be fair I don't count them individually but rather the theatre has a "number sold/number remaining" for each show which I refer to. Im also doing Canada (SW/Toronto) theatres so that just adds to the fun factor.

Just a reminder Im out and about this weekend, so I won't be near a computer probably till like Tues, so I won't be tracking any remainder of Smile, Halloween or Black Adam till then. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Looking now at showtimes, I stand slightly corrected in Im seeing 3:30-430 Previews-might be a 3PM in there I have haven't checked all the theatres. Admittedly when Im doing the counts Im just clicking previews and not really paying attention to the showtimes LOL. Between finishing off Smile stuff, doing Halloween Ends, and Black Adam it just all kind of runs together lol.
