For some quick comparisons for anyone interested-Thor Love and Thunder did a 144 OW, Dr Strange 2 did 187 million OW and Black Panther had a 200 Mil OW (that was precovid) Just for some context.

This is an impressive piece of work here. Some really interesting comparisons-far beyond my mortal capabilities. I guess this raises the BOT Numbers/Comps arms race now....now with graphs!

Have to see if this one of those where Audience is different than RT, but that could hurt a bit for those on the fence-do they go the "ill wait till stream" route.

I hear you-Ive just started comping this year so I have a limited amount of films I can go off of, and they aren't exactly daily sometimes LOL.

I cover some SW Ontario and Toronto theatres, so will be interesting to watch, between this and the embargo when it lifts. I might have a busy next couple of days keeping up with upshoots in sales lol

My experience here in Ontario Canada with Black Adam is, as I mentioned earlier, BA is at 1400 seats compared to Thor 4 and Dr Strange 2 which had between 6=8 thousand seats sold at the time. I think even Black Panther which is still just under a month out I think has more seats sold right now, have to double check. Being relatively new to comping, I dont have any other DC titles to compare sadly in that regard. Critics reviews will probably give it a bit of a boost if favorable, but its tough. Someone mentioned about BA walk up heavy, Ive got a friend who didnt prebuy but is going on Sat to see Black Adam. Also, this might be a variant or not, but we are starting to get some colder weather up here now, have to be thinking particularly at those theatres near malls or in downtown cores how much they might get walk up sales just from out of the cold type of thing.

Trying to remember the last time a film studio was doing so poorly that they came out and said they can't afford to market films. It surprised me reading that going about-certainly suggests that WB are definitely on the back foot here though.

Going by my numbers which are super accrurate and beyond reproach..... Im gonna call Halloween for Canada 1.2 Million OD and 5 Mil OW, 22 Mil OD/ 47 Mil OW for can/us Domestic Lets see how bad I blow this.....

At T-5 that Thurs number is up to 8125 and friday is 5666. Gives an idea of even with the side by side comparo, BA at my theatres is just not even in the same universe at the moment. And apologies, sorry I missed the T-13 to 8, but looking even these numbers, can kind of get a ballpark of where BA ends up.
