[*]2008 and 2012 had the most June openers in the top 15. [*]2012 had the most August openers in the top 15. [*]Only 2007 and 2011 had top 15 films that made over 100 M. [*]2012 had the highest grossing number 1 film. [*]2012 also had the lowest grossing number 15 film. [*]2012 also had the fewest 100 M films. [*]2007 had the most 200 M movies with 7. [*]1 - 3 August openers were always part of the top 15. [*]The closest a non-sequel won summer was in 2008 when IRON MAN placed second. [*]2007 had the closest top 5 with the top 5 films separated by just 50.30 M or less. [*]Super Hero movies won the summer 3 times. [*]Only once an animated movie won the summer.
