    Basically Japan is the worst market for Avatar 2. Is there another country that is the worst for Avatar 2 or just Japan?

    Although Russia will apparently and unfortunately have pirated screenings of it soon, I don't think Disney will count it as part of its gross.

    I think there are many reasons for its performance in Japan. But one of them is there aging population where there population has been declining and will in years go by decline even further.

    What I love about the Japanese BO market is that the a lot of the popular stuff in such place is Anime films, and that is what makes it unique. Don't get me wrong but yes Live-Action local films there can still be huge success and according to Eiren there have been some years where they have topped the local box office and for example the highest grossing live action domestic film is Bayside Shakedown 2 at ¥17.35B . Is there any reason why Anime films often make more than local live action movies at Japan BO?

    Holy shit that is I think the highest ever ATP I seen for a movie in Japan, also BTW Merry Christmas to everyone! I known it is almost the next day in Japan but I live in North America, but wanted to say those since Japan Box Office is my fave.

    Although Suzume has been proclaimed as reaching the 10 Billion Yen mark in Japan on Sunday, some Japanese speakinh twitter users say it might miss reaching it on Sunday and could instead hit it on Monday.

    I really like using local currency for foreign markets box office especially Japan b/c it is more interesting and not worth using the Dollar to compare performances of movies b/c although Suzume in Dollar is lower than WWY it is actually going to be high in Yen as a final box office result so that makes it the actual deal.

    Will Suzume hit the 10 Billion Yen mark this weekend?

    For Toei Slam Dunk the goal will be ¥10B and I think they will do admission privileges for it too.

    All the other overseas markets will prove naysayers wrong but I feel Japan will be an exception due to changes happening like aging population for example among other reasons and Corpse from WOKJ layed it out below.

    With its aging and declining population it is safe to say the Japanese Box Office has reached its peak.

    Oh its gonna be crazy in Buenos Aires. I rooted for Argentina b/c of my Spanish heritage and I am happy.

    Will its multiplier from its OW probably be either over TGM or under?

    Yikes that is a bad decline in Yen and even a worse decline in Dollar for Avatar 2 from Avatar 1.
