  1. This is not ending soon https://twitter.com/Frances_Fisher/likes
  2. You can tell now when a big movie is going to underperform by the GP perception of the movie at the time. The movie is not being talked about enough, it feels like it's being irrelevant, it's generating almost no conversations, etc etc. I said on reddit that this was going to flop, and if I had said it here I would've gotten warning points. I had the suspicion that it wasn't something that I was only feeling here in my city/country with the GP paying dust to this movie, but that it was something in general. And I keep reaffirming myself in believing that people buying tickets because of an actor (big starssss!!! tom cruise!!!) is complete bullsh!t. The general public couldn't care less if actor X or Y is starring in a film when it's time to go to the movies. Same with directors.
  3. Rise of the Beasts 3.1 The Flash 3.4 Bad start for both in Letterboxd.
  4. Sony is evil for leaving Spiderman just a week after LM. No matter what people say it will end up affecting LM.
  5. Enough the comparisons with Dune. 77 with 13 reviews : https://web.archive.org/web/20210903174209/https://www.metacritic.com/movie/dune-2020 hate this ******* test screenings for all of these movies were TERRIBLE. And as for the usuals hating "anything mainstream", this can be easily debunked. Please bfr... Lying for what? those people have always praised mainstream movies LOL
  6. The reception for this has been more than excellent so far. Another big WIN for Gunn, sorry for his haters.
  7. Btw, I wasn't being sarcastic lol, I saw some (four) very good reactions, so until Aquaman II dc stans can breathe a sigh of relief imo. I have only commented on the impressions that test screenings reactions of some films have left me, I don't pretend to be a attention whore scooper (I would post tweets in such a case). We'll see if I'm spot on again... bc Babylon had amazing test screenings but critics panned it.
  8. Test screenings were bad, WB preferred not to take the risk when there was the possibility of further sinking the film by allowing reviews, even though many bloggers give these movies free pass, it was simply a high risk that they did not want to face. Either way, it's early for conspiracy theories. DigitalSpy panned it so who knows https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:V_x_K1OXa5wJ:https://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a43173673/shazam-2-review-fury-gods/&cd=2&hl=es-419&ct=clnk&gl=co
  9. People blaming everything on Warner, everyone, marketing, except the narrative of the movie itself too. The first Shazam is a huge flop on streaming and it seems it's lacking rewatchability, also the public reception is mid (3.3 on LB), but the most important thing is that there never was and never has been a big interest in the movie, people have never cared enough. This is what happens when you rely solely on an over-inflated RottenTomatoes percentage for a CBM, these movies also need huge support from the public. This is not an A24 film. I don't know why you are talking as if what you say is a fact. Having the embargo ends tomorrow is indeed a major red flag lol
  10. https://www.ign.com/articles/john-wick-chapter-4-review https://www.slashfilm.com/1226876/john-wick-chapter-4-review-the-greatest-modern-action-franchise-tops-itself-sxsw-2023/ https://uproxx.com/movies/john-wick-chapter-4-review/
  11. Screening today at SXSW. I hope LB makes the reviews visible finally.
  12. I don't remember a bigger flop of social media reactions than this. Like only 10 people said something, and no one relevant. People (critics) really have no interest in this, or it's some weird WB strategy for the inevitable coming...
  13. The impression I got from some of the test screening reactions is that it's the best one yet for them. There is nothing to worry about imo, even if critics are not that high on the movie like the public. (VA wrong again). One of the guys I trust the most rated it 4.5. His previous rankings were: John Wick I - 4 stars John Wick II - 3.5 John Wick III - 4
