  1. Hunger Games prequel won't be that big. The Marvels will see a big drop from Captain Marvel. Totally carried by Endgame hype and was extremely mediocre. Indy 5 is a good choice. I think Snow White could be a really good choice.
  2. Also. Been thinking more and I just cannot believe there won't be a Disney movie in December. They will throw something there. Blade? The November 2023 MCU date is obviously for Blade. But filming was just delayed to October. Maybe 1 more month and a couple of weeks would do some good to finish. Snow White? This sounds like a GREAT idea. The movie would more than ready to release. And it just fits the time of the year.
  3. While there's a lotta blockbusters next year, I can't help but still feel there's not enough movies next year. I think we are still going to hear about some blockbusters scheduled in 2023 but there's mid/small budget movies missing all around. This may all be just pointless because we may hear about those in the coming months to. Let's see. I hope so.
  4. Next year, we have Equalizer 3 and A Quiet Place Spin-off movies in September already. Maybe some studios were just not confident enough in 2022 to put a big movie in September? The biggest movie we have in September this year is Don't Worry Darling
  5. I don't think anyone will say that. It's literally going to be their only Billion movie of the year. There's also a real lack of presence by Disney in 2022. And even when it feels they're here, it goes fast because it's just not impressive. It looks like Disney will be fine but... the competitive Disney seems over. The Disney people would rush to see. And people say it's good... how? Isn't the point of all this to make box office thrive? That's what Disney used to do. Wouldn't it be nice if the 2019 Disney Co-existed with today's performers? I mean, let's be honest. In 2019, the other studios were a fucking joke because of what they mostly brought to the table.
  6. I think you're really overestimating Bros. I think Smile could be a breakout. I think the trailer caught people by surprise and it kinda blew up. Based on your list, my SEPT: Salem's Lot - 80M Don't Worry Darling - 104M Bros - 55M Smile - 42M
  7. Release Date Title 3-Day (FSS) Opening Low/High Range 3-Day (FSS) Pinpoint Opening Forecast Domestic Total Low/High Range Domestic Total Pinpoint Forecast Distributor 7/8/2022 Thor: Love and Thunder $140,000,000 – $167,000,000 $155,000,000 $345,000,000 – $420,000,000 $395,000,000 Disney / Marvel Studios Damn. I know things were looking on the very low end of projections but... I would be lying If I said I don't feel this internal disappointment. I kinda feel BP2 will also be underwhelming. And for some reason I think 2023 will be a more...positive year. In terms of movies performing better than expected.
  8. I have a question. Why is Thor releasing in 4300 locations only? DS2 released in 4400 and TGM in 4700.
  9. I agree. People act like if it was Iger, we would be getting less shows. Or that they would have been better. Let's not forget that there's still the... I'm not well nformed on it but there's still all the post or vfx backload because of the pandemic.
  10. I think 4 movies per year works. The problem is the series They release to much per year and it's very mediocre overall. If they were good, no problem. But since Hawkeye...it's been going on a downhill.
  11. You can. If there's anticipation, people will rush to see it. But we probably were thinking way to high of it. Reactions are good but not stellar. We maybe are seeing the rejection of the people who didn't like Ragnarok not even checking this out. Not to mention, the overall interest in the MCU has declined, unless you have nostalgia crap or Tobey and Andrew swinging around. If something, these shows leave people maybe wanting to go watch a MCU movie because of how mediocre they can be. Or maybe not. I don't think 45days it's a factor until it drops there.
  12. Bruh. That would be extremely disappointing. I've been lowering my expectations but if it goes under 155M...I would call it a disappointment. For Thor 4 ofc
  13. Bruh It's not even funny imo. I'm a theatrical guy but this is a streaming movie.
  14. This looks whatever. Feel like there's a flood of these movies (detectives, who did it). I honestly don't see anyone rushing out to see this. Pray to god this has a 30M budget tops. More than that... the loss could be big. I don't know if 30M (lower budget) movies need to make 2.5 to break even. But even if it's just x2.... I don't see this doing 60M at all. Again. I don't know the budget of this. Just making up some scenarios.
  15. I think... no chance. All 2023 movies are well on their way to make their release dates. Marvel has still a November 2023 date, which is for Blade. But Blade just got it's production start delayed from July (next month) to October. So I could see maybe Disney delaying Blade to December just to give it 1 month and couple of weeks more. Or... and this is my honest opinion. Disney should delay Black Panther to February 2023. Same date of 1st. Black History Month it's perfect. Delay Ant-Man back to July 2023 and The Marvels to the November 2023 date. Disney seems to insistent on GOTG on May. And THEN... put Blade on February 2023, right at Black History Month again.
  16. I mean... I don't want to be here defending Chapek but I do think Pixar needs a creative shake-up. Something about Pixar doesn't feel right today. While their more adult skewd films was something for their benefit, I think today it's for their detriment. I don't think Pixar really understands it's audience anymore. A bit out of touch. Lightyear was a terrible idea and while I'm trying to be positive about it...Elemental is the movie that come out if Inside Out and Soul had a baby. And the themes sound very similar
  17. I was talking about Elemental. The next Pixar movie releasing in June 2023. Regarding Strange World... I think Chapek could give it a full 45 days theatrical release. Unlike last year, Disney is much more armed in terms of movies direct to streaming and series already deep in post, that I don't think there would even be a need to cut to 30 days when they can have a movie release in the supposed 30 day Strange World would theoretically drop on D+. But that's my guess. The reality is... there's the Encanto factor. Mediocre performance at the box office that just... monstrously exploded on Disney Plus
