I say hardcore fans are not giving shit, and the female audiences don't like pandering. Females like to watch a female-male combo, a male-female combo, or all-male leads, but not all-female leads movies.

The Marvels is a self goal by Marvel Studios. The entire point of this movie was to project Ms. Marvel as the new future face of the MCU, to establish Carol as a flawed character, and to establish that she doesn't need to carry the weight of the world alone. They could have done all these things with a D+ special movie instead of the theatrical movie, and it would've prevented them (both actors and studios) from embarrassment. Now it would become even more harder for them to sell Avengers movies to people.

There are 2 Avengers movies coming & she'll be in it. We don't know what would be her role in those Avengers movies, if the role is big her popularity will increase as her popularity can't go lower than this; also they are calling her The Annihilator in this movie & who are other annihilators in comics? Star Lord, Silver Surfer, Rocket, Beta ray bill, Cosmo, Nova etc. So if they make a 3rd movie then this could be that movie, just my guess.

I bet Madame Web will do more than The Marvels WW because of SM connection.

Ant-Man 3 did 470m. The Marvels isn't even doing half of it. MCU nerds 100% know that Captain Marvel is a much more important character in the MCU than Ant-Man, but they are still not going to watch this movie. Marvel Studios either should've projected this character as a big, important character so that GA took the character seriously or they should've made nerds comfortable with the character. They did nothing, and the result is this disaster. Yes there are some quality issues but that alone can't lead to such disaster.

I think The Marvels is an anomaly in the MCU. There were lot of issues with this movie & it's lead character, that they didn't sort out those issues & result is this disaster. I think if you put Yelena instead of Carol in the Marvels & the same movie will do $90m opening.

Rating now 3.1, was down to 3 but raise to 3.1 now; looks like US audience liking it. Cinemascore B+ or A- is likely.

Thunderbolts is the finale of phase 5 as per Feige. I don't know why people think that they would cancel finale.

And if my guess is wrong then 2025 will be the first time that there won't be any white male lead MCU movie, from Disney side.

F4 is going to be female lead movie & Marvel has never released 2 back to back female lead movies, also Bucky is both the lead & leader in new Thunderbolts comics. So this is just my guess that they are changing the script & Bucky will be the new lead.

My guess is Yelena is no longer the lead of Thunderbolts & Bucky is the new lead as Feige said Bucky is the defacto leader of Thunderbolts & so reworking the script.

SM4 I don't think will get 2025 release date as they would release SV3 in 2025. So my guess is they would release it after Secret Wars in July 2027, just like they released Far from Home after Endgame.

They're releasing 4 each in 2025, 2026 & 2027 & sony would release atleast 2 Marvel movies every year, Morbius type. And upon that no spider-man 4 till 2027.

There is no Avengers in phase 4 or 5 because there is little to no acceptance of important characters like Captain Marvel, She-Hulk & Ms. Marvel in the mcu nerds base especially Captain Marvel because most of these nerds are highly insecure of Captain Marvel..They couldn't risk box office of other phase 4 MCU movies by telling them who the Avengers are & who the leads are in those Avengers movies & this is the reason that even after 4.5 years since Endgame there aren't giving any information about Avengers. They are hoping that MCU nerds will eventually accept these characters to enjoy finale but I think it won't be easy to sell Avengers movies to these nerds base.

People can blame the SAG strike, no promotion, and other side reasons, but here are the 3 main reasons why The Marvels is doing so badly: 1. MCU slowdown because of low-quality movies & shows, as confirmed by Loki S02 Nielsen's rating. 2. Boycott of large numbers of nerds: This is doing 1/4th of Blue Beetle in Mexico and Brazil; this can't happen unless there is a strong boycott. Marvel did nothing to reduce the hate. A group of people have been doing hate campaigns for the past 5 years, but Marvel Studios, Feige, and MCU main actors didn't say a single word in support of Brie Larson. 3. 4.5-year gap between the first one and this: GA, especially female audiences, just forgot about this character, and that's why they're now putting Endgame and her first movie clips in marketing, but it's too late now. They setup this movie to fail at the box office by priotizing the movies of Thor and Doctor Strange in Phase 4, who were already popular, and their movies would've done the same at the box office if they had released those in 2023 instead of 2022. Final comment on this thread: I don't give a sh*t about the MCU now & not gonna watch any MCU movie in theatre but I feel sad for Brie Larson. She deserved better. Her performance in Lessons in Chemistry is excellent &, and the show is a success on Apple TV+, as per Apple CEO Tim Cook, so there is at least something for her to be happy about.

Because 1st one was released 4.5 years ago & it had good message for them but it wasn't good in action or entertainment level. Most of the female audience I think are casual audience & the character faded away from the minds of those female audience in those 4.5 years & they got projects like Barbie & Taylor Swift movie which appealed to them more than The Marvels. Also a survey is needed whether females like to watch a diverse movie with both female & male as leads or they like to watch an all female lead movie like The Marvels more. I think they like to watch a diverse movie more than all female lead movie.

They don't hate her because she is strong; they hate her because they showed that she is stronger than Hulk or Thor. They think that she didn't earn anything to become stronger than Hulk or Thor, but they should've realized that she absorbed the power of an infinity stone, and that's why she is strong. Yes they think that she can easily defeat villain so she is boring but the trailer of The Marvels made it clear that villain is more powerful than her & all 3 are fighting the villain then why they still saying that she is like Superman & solves everything easily?
