The GOTG3 first trailer had 33m views on YouTube and had much higher views than the Marvels trailer on Instagram. Its second trailer had fewer views compared to the first because it was a Super Bowl TV spot, and it got 100m+ views there. The 50% figure is just my estimation. You can't deny that the trailer metrics of The Marvels were like a MCU TV show; it's trailer views were similar to those of She-Hulk, which got 70 million views in the first 24 hours

I think the title captain america will definitely help this movie plus anti racism politics in US will help this movie & they can announce him as lead of Avengers movies by the time it releases.

I'm pretty sure that Cap4 will do twice or thrice of The Marvels. People are interested in CBM only if they think the character is a big character. Marvel studios itself gave impression to the public that Captain Marvel is an irrelevant character by removing her name from the title, why would audience give shit about such a character?

Then why they're interested in Deadpool, spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Thor and other marvel projects? The reality is people care about big characters and they don't give shit about blue beetle & Shazam type irrelevant characters; Captain Marvel belongs to that category at present and so there is little to no interest in her movie.

People don't watch trailers if they aren't interested in them. This is what happened here. They weren't interested in Captain Marvel character or they thought The Marvels is a tv show. This is why DCU movie trailer views are generally lower than those of MCU movies because fewer people are interested in DCU movies.

Fact isn't nonsense. The fact is trailer metrics of the Marvels was like a MCU TV show. Even loki S02 trailer had more views than The Marvels trailer. 50% People just ignored it, didn't even watch it.

50% of people didn't even watch the trailer. Title gave the impression that it is a tv show, plus people just tend to ignore the movie of a character which they hate or they think it's irrelevant, supporting character.

Avengers movies will be hard sell for them if she is Avengers leader like she is now in comics. And there is no indication from Marvel Studios that Spider-Man will lead the Avengers, and Doctor Strange is not even present on any official Marvel poster, whether it is a D+ Marvel banner or official posters issued by Kevin Feige.

This is flopping hard like the Flash because: 1. A large number of MCU fans hate Captain Marvel. They can't stand this character either because of sexism or because of jealousy, as they are invested in pre-Infinity War characters like Doctor Strange, Wanda, Thor, Spider-Man, etc. 2. People don't care about supporting characters like Blue Beetle and Shazam. There is no perception among GA or even the hardcore fan base that Captain Marvel is a big character; they all consider her a supporting, irrelevent character. 3. The title change was a big mistake. If the title were Captain Marvel 2, at least it would have gotten support from some feminists who liked the first one very much, and it wouldn't have given the public the impression that Marvel has lost faith in this character.

McKays run is likely to continue for 3 years, and Kang Dynasty was originally supposed to release in 2025, but because of the JM case and writers strike, they changed the date. Also, we will know who is leading the Avengers way before that. Most likely next year or early 2025.

If this bomb like The Flash, there won't be Captain marvel 3 thats sure but she might already have contract with Marvel Studios for Avengers franchise; & if she is the lead or 2nd lead in that contract can they change that? Would Brie Larson allow that to happen? So untill they give clarity about Avengers movies nothing can be said for certain.

And I really hope that Brie Larson leaves this franchise because such a fandom doesn't deserve talent like her, where thinking is so backward.

A large number of mcu fans can't stand Captain Marvel & so they aren't interested in anything related to Captain Marvel; they clearly knew that Ms. Marvel is a character who idolize captain marvel, they clearly knew skrulls were/are part of Captain Marvel storyline and thats why they didn't watch these shows. This is the reality. And at present I'm only saying a "large number of fans" but if The Marvels does less than 300m or even 350m then it would confirm that majority of MCU fans hate Captain Marvel & can't stand her. No studio wants to go in lose & in such a scenario her journey in MCU will be over & if she leads Avengers movies(because of her already made contract with marvel studios) it will meet the same fate as The Marvels.

There are evidences that a large number of MCU fans hate Captain Marvel & they're not interested in anything related to Captain Marvel. Low viewership of Secret Invasion & Ms. Marvel is proof of that.

She won't get a Hulk type treatment because marvel doesn't make movies like that. In marvel movies a female character either gets 1st or 2nd billing/lead or they reduce that female character to a supporting character like Black Widow. And no one cares about supporting characters. Iron Man had a cameo type supporting role in homecoming & Hulk was in Ragnarok because they couldn't make solo hulk movie, Captain Marvel won't get such treatment. So Unless Captain Marvel is 1st or 2nd lead in Avengers movies her journey in MCU will be over if The Marvels does less than 400m. And her being 2nd lead in Avengers movies won't excite her haters as they are already not much excited about new Captain America & upon that when they get a character they can't stand- Game over for Avengers.

Less than 300m would mean that the majority of MCU fans can't stand Captain Marvel; they either hate her or don't care about her, so unless she leads Avengers 5, this would be the last movie being led by Captain Marvel in the MCU, and if she leads Avengers 5, then Avengers 5 will meet the same fate as The Marvels. So either this movie will end Captain Marvel's run in the MCU or Captain Marvel will make sure that Avengers 5 does less than 200 DOM total.

Yes Disney don't want them to face reality & that's why we don't know who the leads are in next Avengers movies even after 4 years since Endgame. But for how long they can hide this? Those fanboys will definitely lose interest in Avengers movies if Captain Marvel has lead role in Avengers movies which is very likely. But this doesn't mean that they will lose those fanboys as they are interested in other popular characters like Deadpool, spiderman & captain america etc.

MCU fanboys who hate Captain Marvel watching Loki because they are ignorant & delusional. They think MCU revolves around their favorite characters like Doctor Strange, Wanda Thor, Loki etc and characters like Captain Marvel & Ms. Marvel are irrelevant; they don't consider them Avengers & some don't even consider them part of MCU. Once they face reality, they would know how much they're interested in Avengers & overall MCU.

Avengers franchise will be in trouble and all other movies whose box office depend on the Avengers hype will be in trouble if Captain Marvel has big lead role in next Avengers movies.
