  1. Lionsgate needs a W once in a while. Although I do hope they'll find a new franchise that can be successful besides Hunger Games and John Wick.
  2. I would unironically buy tickets to a rerelease for this LOL
  3. Do you think they only did internal test screenings for this movie? Maybe Wish will do well for small kids and avid Disney fans, but with them releasing the embargo so early, it really seems that the studio had a lot of confidence in the movie in terms of critical reception.
  4. An animated Disney musical is never getting a 2% on RT, and I think the songs are okay-ish enough to push the minimum RT score to 50%
  5. That's a crazy possibility. Although maybe Wish can still open to $50M? Or is that just wishful thinking... sorry pls don't ban me
  6. Just watch Frozen become the musical version of Fast & Furious
  7. Very interested to see the Cinemascore on this one as well. If it scores an A or A+, then perhaps critical reception won't really impact the box office and maybe it can get to $400M or even more. Overseas reception will also matter a lot too ofc
  8. I'm fine with keeping Ms. Marvel around, but maybe she should just stick to streaming services or be a side character in theatrical movies. I also think a Young Avengers team-up should DEFINITELY be on Disney+. Unless of course they shoehorn Spiderman in that team too LOL
  9. If Deadpool 3 flops, that might cause some chaos lmao (very unlikely though since the OG X-men are probably gonna be huge draws)
  10. Holy crap is this actually in the cards for The Marvels?? Not breaking $170M worldwide would be freaking dreadful.
  11. This is actually a very cute message, but I can't take "higher, further, faster" seriously anymore after r/boxoffice has memed it to death lmao
  12. 100% Studios need to find new IPs that appeal to Gen Z and Gen Alpha because I hear not a lot of hype from those people about comic book franchises. (Exceptions are Spider-Man and Batman)
  13. I genuinely think this is a compromise that Disney should make, and if the Disney-Sony hybrid Spiderman worked in other MCU movies, I honestly think it'll work in the future. I also have a strong feeling that movies with Spiderman as a big character are gonna do better financially too because of his iconic status. (JUST DO IT IGER or FEIGE) Honestly, I'm not sure if Sony would be willing to part with the Spiderman IP due to the huge success of the videogames, animated movies, and of course, the live action movies. I could see the IP having a price tag in the multiple billions imo because I'd like to say that Spiderman is the most valuable superhero AT THIS POINT IN TIME. (pls don't kill me)
  14. Am I bad for praying that Disney makes Tom Holland the face of the Avengers (or young Avengers??) because of their recent poor BO results. I have no clue if Sony will allow that (surely there's a $$$ amount that's enough), but if there's one Marvel character that appeals to Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences its HIM.
  15. I'm praying that the budget is $80M or less because I lowkey want a trilogy of this :')
  16. Damn really interested to see where the RT score goes and whether the cinemascore is as bad as I think it's gonna be (at least based on the OS reactions I'm seeing...) Would not be suprised if it ends up in the 55-63% RT range (I'm not too optimistic on a 65+%)
  17. FNAF 3rd weekend > The Marvels ??? (let me dream)
  18. Disney wouldn't have agreed to making that movie if they didn't think it would make a ton of money. While I don't think he's a superstar, I still believe the Rock is a draw for the general population especially in comparison to other "famous" actors nowadays. Another option would be adding Tom Cruise to the MCU to stir up hype (I think that would also generate a ton of buzz), but I feel pretty doubtful about that ever happening unfortunately....
  19. Ok I'm not sure if this is a popular opinion or not, but I think that Disney should've invested more in a BIG actor to draw in audiences especially with movies like the Marvels. Big movie stars are in short supply these days, but if they could afford Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for Moana, then I genuinely think they have enough money to recruit him into the MCU even after the Black Adam debacle. Like I really do think that the Marvels + The Rock as the villain/strong supporting character would've drawn in more audiences.
  20. I'm more confident that its overall box office is gonna go under The Flash unless the overseas numbers really suprises me or if the Cinemascore turns out to be in the A range, which would be a pretty good WOM sign in the domestic market (right?)
  21. Dang it managed 60% on RT! It'll be real interesting to see how this one performs. It does seem like overseas WOM is gonna be really poor, but maybee it can still manage to squeak past $200M worldwide?? It might depend on how strong the other November movies are... *cough*hunger games*cough*
  22. Oh SHOOT, i forgot i'm in a different timezone... I really thought we had a few hours left...
