Thunderbolts* *Thunderbolts not included

There is a misconception on this post. It's not that I don't like the cast, it should be totally fine for something like Secret Avengers, It's just not Thunderbolts. If they want to make a Thunderbolts movie they should use the actual Thunderbolts or at least have some effort to keep with the main premise of the franchise that are villains trying to be heroes that the actual roster doesn't have, they are just some degrees of super spy/soldier being used by their government.

Why not? Some people here spend every page of certain threads defending all the bad decisions Marvel Studios did in the last 3 or 4 years.

And it shouldn't start with the setup the movie currently has.

Again there is a fair difference between believing and wanting for it to be cancelled. Releasing this movie in the state it's now it's begging for it to sink like Marvels and Eternals did independently if the movie is good or not because there's nothing on it that appeals for the general audience, it just looks like Suicide Squad but worse, because Suicide Squad had a colorful style and characters and you didn't need to watch 10+ hours of barely related stuff to understand it. No one that doesn't follow every movie and D+ series will put their butts on seats because Pugh is doing the role of lesser Black Widow with a lame vest or that they are finally developing the story of the celestial stuck on the ocean, not even Thunderbolts fans will watch it because they passed over Zemo, Songbird and Moonstone that are THE characters most associated with the team, it's like making an Avengers movie without Captain America, Iron Man and Thor.

It just looks like a bunch of cosplayers. And that's fantastic, more movies shouldn't be afraid of the source material. I hope it does well so we can have a sequel with Handsome Jack.

I'm more in for a retooling than a straight up cancellation, Thunderbolts is a franchise that should be explored, not with the absolute garbage that they are trying to push, just dump the entire cast, bring Bruhl in and introduce the classic members or some big guns like GG or Venom. Also adapt an actual story of the team instead of this sad mishmash of minor plot points of the MCU.

There's no reason to keep bringing new writers to fix this, the core of the problem with the movie is the cast and premise.

I don't think it will be cancelled, but I'm praying every day for it.

Because it's Thunderbolts in name only and appeals to no one that isn't a hardcore MCU fan.

I don't get the people thinking this will be such a massive turnaround point for Marvel, Fantastic Four isn't a popular IP anymore and unlike X-Men related stuff, we already got a MCU-like FF movie in the past.

This particular iteration of Thunderbolts should be moved to the garbage bin instead of up.

Comics Star-Lord was way, way more interesting than Meme-Lord from the movies.

Thunderbolts without Thunderbolts now Captain America without Captain America villains, MCU has a bright future ahead.

About 40m too much.
