Can we expect any big movie trailers this year?
-
So I rewatched both Order of the Phoenix and the Half Blood Prince for the first time since they released in theaters. Back then, I thought 5 was mediocre, while 6 was downright boring.
I still find 5 to be mediocre, but ohhhh boy, I am now in love with 6! I especially love the camera work! You can not tell me David Yates directed both 5 and 6. Nuh uh. I don't buy it.

Rowling's comments are clearly transphobic. I can't believe she is a trans supporter when she says stuff like that. I did not know about her former abuse, so I feel bad for her for that.

Much better date. I cant wait!

I watched this for the first time Monday, and I loved it. I rewatched it last night, and am rewatching it again tonight.

Which cut should I watch? (If any?)

Which cut of Alexander should I watch? (If any?)

I don't like the Venom or Conjuring title, too silly.

Captain Marvel (I love Brie Larson though)
Endgame
Annabelle 3
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Frozen 2

This has got to be one of my most disappointing films.

Still excited for this.

I love the original Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, and Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein! I haven't seen Bride of since I was a little kid! I also love the second Hammer Frankenstein film, I need to see the others! And I love Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, very underrated! And Victor Frankenstein as well!!

this was a cool feminist coming of age take on the Hansel & Gretel tale , just prefered the first hour over the last 20 minutes. (the VVitch & Hereditary comparisons are gone 40 minutes in). has more jump scares than your average A24 horror but still feels more stylish than what mainstream audiences are used for, still liked the score, tone & look of the film.
Sophia Lillis as 2nd tier Anya-Taylor was also good. ending montage felt like something out of a superhero story (it's clear the director wants this to branch into a fairy tale franchise so all the power to him). 3/5
Also the voice overs felt like it was a producer's decision so audiences wouldn't get too confused w/ the plot. (ala Ad Astra )
Now I am super stoked to watch this tonight.

I watched the trailer again and I still don't get why doesn't the girl simply leaves the house, once weird stuff starts happening...
The whole thing looks dumb and badly planned.
It's based off the classic story from the 1800's. There is a reason she stays.

I watched the 1961 adaptation Thr Innocents yesterday, and I can see why it is one of the horror classics. Even my Dad enjoyed it, and he is not a big horror fan. I really hope this one is good also.

No, I didn't even know this movie existed! XD
Terrible month
I'm going to have a blast this month with Underwater, Doolittle, Gretal and Hansel, and hopefully this.

Anyone else love the Palpatine cult/ritual Lovecraftian influence? Felt so creepy and epic to me. I hope we learn more about the cult in the future. As a Lovecraft fan I loved that scene.

Seems like they're going light hearted filled with cringy comedy like in Annabelle 3. Ugh.
-
I felt like the character development didn't really start until the second half, I didnt have any feels until then, unlike the first movie. The first half felt rushed and more of just "we're back"

As long as domestic and OS gross are both higher than the first I will be very happy!

So ex co worker just added me as a friend on Facebook today.
She was super flirty with me, and gave me hints that she wanted me to ask her out. This was before I was laid off.
Anyway, last week or so I told her friend at work I was planning on visiting our work to say hi to her and give her a treat. (And I said that I like her). But I never did go to our work to see her, is her adding me as a friend a hint from her?
