I've loved all the movies I've seen this year. Jurassic, Moonfall, Batman, Dr. Strange 2, Bob's Burgers, Death On The Nile, oh did I mention Batman?
It's this second half of the year that looks like a drought to me.

word is the reaction is fairly positive but the CGI was so far from completion that idk what they were actually seeing for most of the climax/ending probably? the one guy who leaked the plot still said they liked it just not as much as peele’s previous films.Could you message me where the guy leaked the plot, if able to? Thanks!
I'm still hoping the tone is more like the first trailer, or at least like Signs, where there is some humor, but not too much.

Sorry I forgot, could somebody tell me what the bottom two numbers represent?

What are the reasons for why Disney gives Pixar larger budgets than they do for Disney Animation Studios? And have either studio's budgets been decreasing lately?
-
So from what I read, Zurg isn't even technically in the movie?!

Honestly, if Shrek V were to be a lower budget release like all of Dreamwork's films post Universal buyout, I'd rather it not be made anyway.

Should we expect an action from WB now, given that there's another girl?

Let's go 1 billion!

I loved how creepy the first trailer was. This final trailer however, I really disliked the tone. I hope the movie ends up being more like the first trailer.

I loved the film! I also thought the soundtrack was good, I'm not sure why some aren't digging it.
I think it's a great ending to my favorite series.
I hope we receive a live action TV series in the future....but please not on Peacock, haha.
Also, the crowd clapped!

I think Jurassic will end up at around a billion, it will be interesting if it can beat the first film's gross (including the 3D release).

I have no idea what my expectations for Jurassic should be just kinda riding on a breeze with that one
Nice to see you post again Ethan!
I'm hoping the film passes 165 mil this weekend!

I still expect this to land in the high 30s to low 40s on RT.
Why? Jurassic World, from the same director, got around 70%.

Came here after bring puzzled seeing the box office subReddit gloating that this film was apparently underperforming. I'm happy that isn't the case.

If John Krasinski directed, and made the movie horror-like such as how the last F4 was supposed to be, I'd be super excited.
-
How is the 3d version? I haven't seen a movie in 3d in years, and if it's worth it I'll see it in that.

Because in one of the scenes there's a newspaper stand that has a sign for a Falun Gung affiliated newspaper that's found everywhere in NYC. China labels Falun Gung as an evil cult and now think that this sign which is on hundreds of stands in NYC is an insult to China.
You're kidding me? I can't tell anymore with China..

I think the film is well positioned to be a hit. I certainly hope so.

Honor Among Thieves makes it seem like a lower budget action movie to be honest.

According to @Brainbug the Dinosaur OW range of 175 - 195M and DOM total of approx. 480 - 520M.
I think that's exactly where this will land. Another big success.

I hope this is like my favorite movie Signs. I love alien horror films, which this looks like.

Am thinking ~140 and I think most of the tracking thread data indicates sub 150 (though it is still very much in the range of possibility).
Dang, thanks for the info! Any potential reasonings as to why this film may not open as huge as other past Batmans?

For those that have seen it, how is the tone? Is it comedic in parts?
