This is a strange year because frontrunners in everything but Actress categories are past winners. At this moment, Director seems either Bigelow or Spielberg`s to take, DDL dominates Best Actor without a strong runner-up in sight, BSAwill likely see 4 past winners (PSH, TLJ, Arkin and DeNiro) or 5 (if Waltz makes it). Someone has to be the first timer. I still expect that guilds turn the Argo tide.Arkin points out at stonger support and it snagged Ensamble which ZDT didn`t despite being very similar in that there`s a central figure (Chastain,Affleck) and a cast of character actors. So we`ll see.

Beautiful tiger is why I think it`ll take it over TH which is the only other movie with legit shot at the win. TH is pretty but it isn`t goreous and all creatures are big put-offs in their design.

Nope. If this is the line-up than Leo takes it. His competitiors are all past winners. They wouldn`t put him in if they didn`t want to award him. Not to mention that the role is baity as fuck. A bone fide movie star takes a super risky, bold role that many would think twice before signing for, has a monologue that is awards wet dream, is a past nominee so not a one-hit wonder,etc. I get that people are confused because of SAG situation but that wasn`t a snub. They haven`t received the screeners which means they haven`t seen him. I think those 4 past winners will be in the Oscar line-up with 5th spot going to one of Leo, Henry, Waltz, SLJ (apparently he`s campaigning), Redmayne. Also, the race is shaping up to award several past winners (Bigelow? DDL? Spielberg? Some BSAactor?) so someone has to be first time winner.

True but DDL is playing an icon in a critical and commercial hit. Cooper is playing a bipolar guy in a movie that`s struggling in a limited release. His other mental/physical disroder competitors are another wacko (Phoenix) and a criple (Hawkes). Granted, DDL`s disadvantage is that he already won twice. But since Cooper won`t be the only non-winner in the roaster, he`ll have to fight off others. Hey, I love his perf, thought he was fantastic but I just dont see what he has more going for him than other competition. Jackman sings an iconic role. That`s pretty huge. Hawkes is a classic bait.

I think Pi will take it though after seeing TH I`d say TH should. But they`ve already awarded Gollum so tiger will take it home although Stone Giants sequence was the best SFX piece in movies od 2012, IMO. Great original idea, great execution and HFR absolutely inhanced it. But tiger is so much cuter than those awful Goblins (WTF was that Goblin King design?) so I guess that give him an edge.

QT`s a perv but he writes dilaog like nobody`s business and casts perfect actors to make that dialog sing. Trully an actor`s actor since actors are his money shots. IB, DU, it`s monologues that are far bigger attraction than carnage.

No but there must be some. I actually saw an episode of that mini series. It was called The Way We Used To Live starring Cillian Murphy. Her accent is so insufferable that I had to turn off TV. It was later that I found out it achieved a legendary status as TPM of bad accents.QT is super knowledgable which is why some culture references he puts in his movies work brilliantly. The legend of Brunhilde is a breautiful moment in the movie and Alexander Dumas is a stunner.

Talking movies only with him is a waste of time. He`s far more educated that just geeking out for his daily job.

Shitto one is so awful you can`t even laugh. You just want to run as far away from the sound as possible.QT totally destroys it. Well, he does reward you big BIG time for suffering through his Aussie accent. Better than a punch I can tell you.

Oh, please. Before the movie came out fanboys were saying that different chaarcters don`t matter because people fell in love with ME and can`t wait to come back. Well, ME is back so why is this struggling to reach $300 mio despite inflation, 3D and IMAX? Just stop spinning the wheel,OK? It`s a good run. It isn`t even disappointing when you look at it realistically. It is in line with realistic expectations.

Nah, Shitto`s one is stuff of legend. Gotta be heard to be believed. Hems`s one was bad but I didn`t want to run out of the auditorium screaming.

No accent butchering compares to Shitto`s Southern accent so shush.

That`s true. Their long list is ridiculous. JLaw wasn`t even critically panned for that horror movie. It`s like they nominated Michael Sheen for Worst Supperting Actor for BD2 although he was raved even by negative reviews. Razzie want attention by nominating popular movies and people even when they give good perforemnces.Which means Chastain gets Razzie`d for awful looking Mama next year.

So when cna we expect reviews?

3.5% Friday increase wouldn`t be unusual. But Sat at $13 mio off $11 mio Friday is wrong. It should be higher because Saturday increases are higher. That`s a very conservative increase that doesn`t fit the pattern.
