  1. Nothing against PP, just not my kind of movie at all, it's absolutely killing it.  I thought the 50m range was for sure in the cards, but dang the teenage girls are out in force.

Overall, I'm happy with the Fury Road numbers but I was deep down hoping it would break out even more - really wanted a 300 type opening.  I just hope it can keep going strong because I want so much more from Miller.  I really loved the movie.  The 3 guys I saw it with (25-35 year old range) really liked it a lot also.  It's def not a hard R, but the craziness, intensity, and bizarre world may keep it from going really huge.  Come on word of mouth...we need more Max in the near future.

  2. I definitely think this is dropping from skyfall...that did have a perfect time and movie.  But, it's still guaranteed 200m- which for a bond movie is amazing going by the passed numbers.  I think this early will do 240 - 260m. No Bond movie will blow up like skyfall did again. And watching skyfall quite a few times now...it's just not as good as casino royale or even goldeneye- just for somewhat recent bonds.  It caught a wave like I've never seen-it was awesome as a huuuge bond fan to see it do well but it was in the end a good bond entry for me compared to great ones like goldeneye and casino.

  3. ehh, it was fine.  It's funny like chibs, who really wasn't always a big player became one, tig the nut vp, and happy....i mean they weren't even that important early on in seasons end up running samcro.  But, that's what happens when sutters gotta kill off people all the time.  I mean all the characters are despicable but is was sad for me seeing the show end.  Not saying the last season was great or the last episode but still it's a lot of time invested into characters.  Sucks no more sons- but I think Jax breaking the chain was exactly the right way to go- and was still hard to watch but he had it all planned and new it had to be that way- completely fine with me

pce SOA, you def were one of my fav shows and I kept up all 7 years.  Props to a very entertaining show!

I need a new show now tho...lost BB and this, hurting.

  4. Shit aDIM i never check down here...or rarely.

Ive watched this damn show since day 1 of season 1.

OK, unser is a creech, he created so many of the problems by his big mouth and protected his GOD gemma in the past.  I honestly felt nothing when unser got shot.  To me he's been a guy who tried to be the law but loved gemma and was just dirty in a way I could never like the character.  I think there was one season I thought unser was a badass but it's been so many now don't even recall.  As for the actor, great acting, tough part to play man.  Unser in the end was gemma's bitch to me no matter how lawful he tried to be.

And the Gemma and Jax thing was eyewattering- he HAD to first hear it from her and  you watch again, he had to hear it from her, but overall she was ready and content she had been a bad person, but she was ready and ok....tough to watch all the characters fall off that u watched the last 7 damn years.

Juice---what a sad character man---without going into it he never had a chance......terrible how he went down the last season

  5. In other words, the top 4 combined aren't gonna match CF alone.

Ouch...this year has def been a down year.  Geez, if GoG didn't break out a bit this would be a terrible year.  Forgot who posted it, but seriously so much media has gone into avengers 2, star wars, BvsS that I just think ur average movie goer is waiting for those huge blockbusters.

Quality wise those, there's been a ton of great movies this year, just not a ton of big budget winners

Summation of what I read of the thread ....

a hot mess, what's new? , 50 shades of grey, tele/ed baby off, everyone using up all their likes, and kells cookies being warm/gooey/tasty while she was getting surprisingly naughty.  Plenty of lol moments, bravo.

  7. okay , lmao, I watched tonights twice- gotta love that amc replay.  Okay the part Eugene admitted his lie and then abe rocks him...I lmfao at the sound effects and the fall.  Okay that has to be one of the greatest just dead body falls I've ever seen.  That was simply amazing. The noise effect hahahah- they used like a zombie stabbing effect when eugenes face hits the ground...i was like okay he has to be dead after u use that sound effect.

Great episode.  Abe is a gnarly guy- i like him but he is dumb.  And of course what most have thought eugenious , ha, has been full of shit

  8. yeah, agree blu.  Haven't seen interstellar yet-tomorrow! But just speaking for myself and those close to me- inception and interstellar- hype wise can't be compared.  Inception was the next damn movie after one of the most talked about and successful movies ever.  Inception had those amazing trailers-not saying interstellar doesn't-but not quite as "like whoa" as inception, plus the brrrrrrrmmmm, awesome zimmer soundtrack, leo, and just a ton of hype.

Interstellar was never going to make as much as inception.  Good start for it, just hoping i like it as much as I do other Nolan movies.

  9. Just got back.  BADASS! ha.  I mean not sure how else to describe keanu in it.  I want to give some props to stahelski, and leitch who both were from the stunt world as initially stuntmen then went on to be second unit directors and stunt choreographers/coordinators for all the huge movies (matrixes, 300, bourne, tron, hunger games, iron man and on and on) including the matrix where stahelski was keanus stunt double. Gotta give a big bravo for first time directors who do a great job- u kind of knew the action would be good but it's clear, easy to follow, quick and just top notch.  Most impressed how they put together a nice little story tho and made you feel a little bit with the limited time in the beginning and the kind of cool hotel/world they make for assassins/hitmen.

Overall, just happy keanu got some good material that fits perfect for him- he's a great action star, even at his age, and pulls it off with confidence-his years  and years of pretty much training for movies def shows-so much more fluid than most other actors.  The ending of the movie did fade a little for me, the plot kind of just went whacko, felt rushed and just wasn't as good/cohesive as the 2/3rds that came before it.  It's a bit unfortunate because if they plotted out the last third a little better I would've just ate it up...but still I'm giving it an 8.75/10.  Ill def see it again in theaters.

*side note - some good acting here...  dafoe, nyqvist, palicki surprisingly, alfie ( REEK!), mcshane, most importantly, keanu did a great job

  10. bout to go check out wick...it's pretty much guaranteed ill like it, just how much is the question.  Ill be depressed if a dime a dozen, shit horror movie beats out a well reviewed, badass action keanu flick - but i guess it's expected with keanu sadly not being a draw anymore. Report back with the awesomeness I'm about to see.  :excited:

  11. I swear this is an incredible action movie.  This deserves to make so much more than it inevitably will.

I can't wait to see it again.

I said this in the review thread, but I'll repeat it here.  It's the best action movie of the year, even better than Raid 2.

Raid 2 was badass...I'm already amped enough to see this.  Probability is high that I love it and see it multiple times.

    BTW

    60 reviews in 54 fresh/6 rotten

    90%

F yea keanu! Time to get this guy back into some big budget action.  Really hope it somehow catches on. Ill spread the word and do my part for sure.

  12. iOS-7-Wallpapers-Dynamic-on-Lock-screen-

Poster designer is clearly on that ios 8.

lmfao…that's a pretty amazing catch…i haven't been a huge addition to this thread till now.  I love keanu.  I love the dude. Such a great guy, and seeing this get glowing reviews makes me even happier,  i will be pushing this movie hard! I f'ing can't wait.  Tho the man gets a lot of "wooden" reviews the guy makes amazing movies and he's much more diverse than ur average movie go'er would think. Oh he's wooden? Go watch Street Kings. He's an awesome action star and deserves a little respect imo.  But last but not least lets not all forget the guy does stuff for people under the radar…he doesn't need publicity in all the amazing things the guy has done. He prob is my favorite actor, just as a man…if you know his story….he's a golden light in hollywood- and everyone should support his movies, imo. All I gotta say is "whoa" and I hope this breaks out more than any movie the whole year.

  13. Yeah, she was great in it. I thought she was almost as good as Pike.

I actually think she was just as good for her role. I mean shoot, she didn't have to go thru the rigors of pikes character - u know woman without makeup, looking different, being a psycho, ha- she just had to play the unconditional love but man was she great.  All the ladies were on point…kim dickens was amazing as the detective also…i mean overall i thought the ladies stole the show. Affleck and perry did pretty good but those 3 ….pike, coon, and dickens really made the movie for me

and as a side note coons character is the only one I think ur meant to like in the end…ha. I mean she was just the best sister ever. Every other character had flaws…"go" was the one that was a straight arrow imo
