  1. I know a lot of people didn't like the ending but all in all, it's a great movie. Probably the closest to a Quantum Leap movie as we'll ever get
  2. Yeah, the score is great. BTW, might want to check out the music by Zack Hemsey (go to YouTube, he has many others):http-~~-//youtu.be/lOJqicM6x84
  3. Whenever you get a chance (not sure how much interest there is), but could Dazed and Confused be added?
  4. Nope, it would need a Blu-ray drive. Newer laptops now generally have one (though you have to make sure).
  5. Well, tried posting mine but the copy/paste function fouled up the lists doubling them in some cases. Think it has something to do with the numbering. Here's my top 5:1. Inception2. Black Swan3. Toy Story 34. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 15. Never Let Me Go
  6. Ironic or sad? :lol:Interestingly enough, Batman & Robin is the only one I hadn't seen in theaters, I saw all the others on opening weekend (including Batman '89 which, AFAIK, is the first PG-13 movie I saw in a theater).Anyway, as for TDK, it's a great film though I still have a preference for Batman Begins.
  7. Still holds up really well today. The animatronics and visual effects are still fantastic and the story combines the thrills, action and comedy so nicely. A
  8. I saw it opening weekend and when it was released on Blu-ray and both times I loved every minute. Wanted to get my review in before we might get the inevitable overrated posts/debate.
  9. Not really. I enjoyed the first one well enough I guess but when putting it up against other Pixar films, it doesn't hold a candle.
  10. Yep, fantastic movie and fantastic trilogy all around. I really need to revisit all of them (I have the extended editions on Blu-ray), might take a weekend to sit back and do that.
  11. Not quite for me, but it's up there with Lost in Translation in terms of more "recent" films (meaning, I can't put it next to The Godfather Parts 1 and 2 or Apocalypse Now).
  12. My favorite of the series (and yes, I did like Fast & Furious as well). I like the direction they're taking the franchise, though from less focus on car racing to more heists. The action sequences, as insanely improbably and physically impossible as they might be, are a blast and bringing all these characters together makes for a fun time. I can't wait to see where they take the next one and if they add another high profile name to the mix. A-
  13. I enjoyed the movie, it was a fun homage to Spielberg with a bit of the J.J. Abrams mystery mixed in. I wasn't emotionally involved with the story or characters but in the end, I found it to be an entertaining flick that I probably would watch again one day. A-
  14. Needless sequel. The animation is, of course, good but making Mater was a mistake because one can only take so much of that character before you become annoyed. I also didn't care for the message that apparently you can be a doofus who causes problems but if you have a pure heart, it's all good.
  15. Funny, but way overrated. I laughed/chuckled a couple of times but some of the scenes went on far too long.
  16. Proof once again that Jennifer Aniston is so overrated as an A-list actress. She's cute but the scripts she chooses is perplexing (save for Horrible Bosses).
  17. Well, could've been worse... I laughed a couple of times and the action scenes and shooting style were cool, but overall it doesn't make an impact either way.
  18. Funny, the more I think of it, the more I think it's not that good. It's in the B-/C+ range for me now.
  19. Obviously your choice could change once The Dark Knight Rises comes out, but for now, which is your favorite Batman movie and which do you think is the best Batman feature film?
  20. I went with Michael Keaton as my favorite Batman and Christian Bale as my favorite Bruce Wayne (BB and TDK are the only movies that really delve into the nuances of the character).
  21. Super 8 - Incredible audio and video. Haven't checked out the features yet, but looks like a good release.
  22. Not sure how many people like this show, but I watch it (via DVR) every week. The crimes are great but what makes it work is the ensemble cast clicks so well. I wasn't sure how it would survive without Giddeon (Mandy Patinkin) but it's better than ever with Joe Mantegna.
