Admittedly it wasn't as bad as I had imagined, but boy is Taylor Lautner a bad actor. If the role had gone to somebody else (even Robert Patterson), it might've actually been an OK flick, but the guy has only a couple of looks with only his mouth being different because his eye seem to remain the same no matter what the scene is.
As far as the plot goes, after the hook, it's just a generic action flick. In fact, I would like to see a straight-up drama where the premise is a teen finds out he was a kidnap victim and must find out who his parents really are and what happened rather than this trumped up and illogical governmental conspiracy BS.
All in all, it's at least a moderately entertaining movie if you can get past Lautner's boring personality and performance.
