  1. Well, to be fair, most of the cost of the show (The Firm) was paid by Sony (IIRC) so NBC's up front costs isn't very much.
  2. Agree 110%. I just watched this today and that unfortunately stood out. It was bad.
  3. Big step-up from Ocean's 12 with a fun story and great villain in Al Pacino. B+, 3.75/5
  4. This is one of those movies where the cast seemed to be having fun, but it doesn't translate to the audience. There are few moments I liked but otherwise it was a big letdown. C+, 3.0/5
  5. Just an all around fun movie even if there's a gaping plothole (even acknowledged on the commentary by Soderbergh). A-, 4.25/5
  6. I enjoyed it for the most part. No, the story wasn't the best but it was well acted (save for Kevin Costner and his Boston accent).
  7. Since I just requested it in the discussion thread, I assumed it is The Company Men. And I agree, really well done movie that many people probably never heard or have never seen.
  8. Hey Baumer, it should be The Company Men. The Company of Men is probably a vastly different movie...
  9. Agreed. It's been a while since I've seen this one, but I recall it still being a good movie, just when compared with the first two it falls flat. B, 3.5/5
  10. My second favorite movie after the original, but this is pretty damn close. Great performances all around. A+
  11. Easily my favorite movie of all-time. A+
  12. Any chance The Company Men can be added? It's a drama starring Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Maria Bello.
  13. Archer: The Complete Season OneDead Poets SocietyGood Morning, Vietnam
  14. It's been a while since I've seen this, but I remember laughing a few times and any movie with Mila Kunis is OK in my book. B+
  15. Eh, the first half was good and then it just got redundent (how many times did somebody ask where Eric Dale was?) to the point where I got kind of bored. The only redeeming factors is the ensemble cast and a few sharp lines of dialogue, otherwise I felt it was forgettable. 3/5, C+
  16. The only "redeeming" factor is the fact Sara Paxton is in a bikini for most of the movie, otherwise it is indeed crap. The story was so ludacrous, the CGI was just a tad better than a SyFy Original Movie and the characters were indescript and bland. I don't mind a good B-movie experience, but the filmmakers didn't even put any effort into it. 1.5/5, D (might go lower after thinking about it some more)
  17. Watched this earlier today and thought it was good, though nothing particularly special. The performances were fine but a couple of the characters seemed to be useless (like Marion Cotillard's who disappears for a good portion only to show up again towards the end). The direction is solid in typical Soderbergh style (not a bad thing) but otherwise this isn't a movie I'm going to remember tomorrow. 3.5/5, B
