  1. Also just realized we officially have our 6th 300m grosser of the year now (really should be 7 since AS made all its money this year). May not see that again for awhile.
  2. Wednesday it should set the record for most days over 30m ever with 6. JW and TA are the only ones to have 5 before. Depending on what happens next week it could go up to as many as 15 days over 30m.
  3. I'm guessing -15% Wednesday, -30% Thursday, and then similar to Avatar's second weekend holds. So something like 32, 22, 46, 57, 49. That would be 531 by Sunday.
  4. Yeah I'd heard the bipolar thing. Isn't that why she didn't do much acting, was considered too hard to work with back in the day?
  5. Yep. Would go from being my favorite scene of the film to being essentially just a troll-ish red herring to throw us off track.
  6. I am expecting confirmation that Rey is Luke's daughter before VIII, unless she really isn't. I just feel like the movie makes it seem so obvious though that they're not going to save that "revealtion" for VIII and we will know before then. Again, unless she really isn't, in which case I think JJ screwed up some scenes.
  7. But it's also much more cinematic if the protagonist is the daughter of the franchise's big hero, not the niece.
  8. I think Fisher looked decent for her age, but I don't know what's up with that voice. I was afraid her vocal chords might collapse at any moment. I'd hate to hear what her attempt at a scream sounds like.
  9. Right? Now the Manning family can breathe a sigh of relief that they can afford to go see Concussion this Holiday season.
  10. It's not my POV though. I for sure didn't invent Friday proper. I remember it was all people on here were talking about with DH2s OW because of how huge midnights were in OD. So I'm not sure why all of a sudden we want to pretend it's not a thing? And my comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular nor did I even insult anyone. I just said to argue with facts makes you look like you don't understand box office, because you're arguing with facts. And the fact is Friday proper has always been Friday minus midnights/previews. Again, I didn't invent this. Its been discussed here and on industry sites for years.
  11. As far as I'm concerned, that Monday number is one of the most impressive box office records of this century so far. We'll see what it does this weekend, but that may be the most impressive day in its whole run.
  12. 200 would be possible with a 30m Thursday . No way it has a 30m Thursday though, that's Xmas eve. Drop will be at least 30% from Wednesday.
  13. Guys, TFA broke the Friday record but did NOT break the Friday proper record. Why are some trying to argue with facts? You're going to come off like you don't understand box office.
  14. Ha ha. The second viewing made it feel like less of an ANH re-hash than the first viewing for me. I'm less concerned now about it standing on its own than initially.
  15. Will we ever get an official all time attendance report? Even just the top 10 all time would be really nice. Doesn't Lucas have those stats or I did I make that up?
  16. This weekend is going to be insane for it, I know a ridiculous amount of people making it their Xmas movie. I will say that if it does miss 1b, it would only be because it really does hit a wall after this weekend or next weekend where everyone interested has seen it, and then it falls off of a cliff. That really is the only way I think it's missing 1b though.
  17. You doubters will all be rethinking your "1b isn't likely" talk when it has passed TDK by Sunday. Meanwhile, I am gonna sit back, relax, and relish in the fact of joining the $1 billion TFA club before the tickets went on sale.
  18. I'm sure everyone is well aware that Avatar's holds can't continue. Luckily TFA needs a mere 4x multi for 1b, not Avatar's 9.7x.
