And here we go again lol2nd weekend record is LOCKED.

More than a shot, it's favored.Does anyone think TA has a shot at the 2nd wknd record?
-
I think my favorite part of this is Nikki being off by $15m

lol, good one BKB.I'll say 65 Million for sunday.. The demand is heavy and that is hard to ignore..
-
Let's say $75m is the od...that means $170-175m ow and the record going down. $80m od means $175-180m ow and beating the record pretty handily.
-
It's amazing how we all knew TA was going to get a $70+m OD after Nikki's first update, yet she, who's supposed to be in the know, had $65-67m for waaaay too long lol.
-
Excellent number and $160m ow is huge (glad I stuck with my $161.5m). Wish Mav was still here with his locked for $170m bs though. Also, where is BKB with his $200m ow? Anyway, awesome ow for a great, fun, entertaining movie, and should hit $400m...but will get owned by TDKR come July

Unfortunately that'll be a wrong answer for you, no way it drops from this number.I said YES for this, here's hoping for the best..

My theater actually took a 3D screen away and added a 2D one. Never seen that before and 2D is definitely selling better than 3D. People know by now post converted 3D is a waste of money.I have been looking at sellouts and while it is doing fine in 2D, most 3D shows seem to be a problem. If they start to pick up during evening , $70 million is happening. From what I am seeing it isn't in enough 2D theaters.
-
I expect her next update to bump it up to $68-70m. Should def hit $50m without midnight. Also, was the $18.7m midnight confirmed by Disney/Marvel? (I see they may want the midnight sh/comic book record, if only for a couple months).

Awesome #! Just wish it was official from Disney.

It is with much regret that I must bow out of the game this year :(As I mentioned prior, I recently started a new job, will be moving soon, my computer crapped out and I don't have a new one yet (I've been posting the last week or so from my iPhone lol) and I just can't put the time into the game atm that I'd want to to be able to do well.I may do the weekly questions from time to time for fun and for the big releases (ala TDKR), but not the whole summer unfortunately. Good luck to everyone this year and as usual great job Baumer.

This is what I'm afraid of...in fact, I'm concerned I may not be able to play this year :(I recently started a new job, will be moving soon, and don't know if I'll be able to dedicate the time needed to do as well as I'd want to if I played. I really love the game though so it's a tough decision either way.Locked and loaded. Between yesterday and today all that pre-season stuff took me probably 5 hours.

This kind of needed to be made before all TA reviews came out.

I don't know but I think this is lock for an Oscar.
Maybe a lock for a nom, but no way locked for a win.
-
Woah. Hope it's true.
Ugh, hope it's not true.
-
Hmm, let's see, I'll do it in order of release and how many times I think I'll see it in theaters:TA: 3-4TD: 1MIB3: 1SWATH: 1Pro: 2-3Brave: 2-3Joe: 1TASM: 2-3Ted: 1TDKR: 4-6TBL: 1Exp2: 1I may or may not see DS, BS, TR, TMB, NW or ROA in the theater.
-
Wow, I'm feeling really overwhelmed atm with all these questions...the deadline really snuck up on me!
-
Boring/disappointing #s and the calm before the storm as others have mentioned. Also, what's with all the Segel hate? FSM, KU and The Muppets are great.

That's a funny typo ;)Also, I assume you meant the ferry scene, which is interesting as most find that the only main dislike of the film. I personally love the interrogation scene with Batman and The Joker, such an amazing part and prob my favorite scene in the movie....The fairy scene is one of my favorite movie scenes ever...

Excellent trailer, my fav yet. As others have said, last 40 seconds or so were magical. I understand marketing it like the first half, to bring in kids and families, etc. but it's the last 40 seconds of that trailer that will be bring the older aged Pixar fans like myself to the theater.

Also, BK007, how can you list 2005 and not have ROTS???
-
Personally, 2008 always sticks out in my mind as one of my favorite summers ever:Iron ManKung-Fu PandaWall-EIJ4The Dark KnightObviously it's mainly because of TDK (especially since IJ4 was a let down movie wise) and that movie just dominated me for like 2 months. I literally saw it in theaters 7-10 times (I honestly forget the exact # of times). This summer though has the potential to seriously be the best summer movie season ever (quality and $):TAPrometheusTASMBraveTDKRJust those 5 alone all look to be good/great movies with huge blockbuster potential. Then throw in MIB3, SWATH, DS, Bourne, EXP2, GIJOE2, and others, and this summer could be one of the best ever.
