Comscore tweeted that Scream VI was number 1, but they always include the previews.
Wonder what the final numbers were and if it was over £2.7-2.9m for the 5 day or just below.

Saturday
Creed £1.26m
Scream £964k
65 £567k
Puss £488k
Ant-Man £356k
Cocaine Bear £254k
What's Love £156k
Champions £156k
Technically Creed will win the weekend, but Scream looks set to get very near if not hit the £3m mark for full opening so will likely be reported as number 1 unless Creed has a strong Sunday hold. Could be very close.
PIB continues its insane Saturday/Sunday performance.
Also surprised at 65 easily topping £1m in its opening, that’s pretty good.
-
So nearly £1.5m already for Scream. Should top £2.5m, maybe £2.7-2.8m.
-
Seems like an opening on par with Scream 5 is in order. Will be interesting to see if Creed maintains the top spot. Over the Fri-Sun I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.

Yeh me neither, a surprise.
Selfishly hoping it falls enough next weekend for Scream VI to get the #1.
Unfortunately at my local Creed is keeping IMAX next week too, so Scream isn’t getting it. Boo.
It’ll be close I think but I reckon Scream gets the top spot. Expecting it to at least match Scream’s £2.5m opening, but hopefully can go for the £3m.

Fantastic for Creed! Hoping it hits £5m.

Creed looks insanely busy, and late night business is VERY strong. Expecting a good opening

Hasn't she sailed a bit higher than that with the re-release, or had she not hit £80m yet
I thought it was being recorded separately. At least it looks like it from the box office reports

Very good opening for AM3 considering its performance elsewhere.
Also great for PIB2 increasing from last weekend, school holidays gave it a big boost. Looks like it could make a run for £30m.
Avatar likely going to miss £80m by a couple of million, so will have to settle for 11th of all time (10th of all time is Titanic £80.3m).
-
I’m confused as to why this is doing so well compared to the previous two movies, and also compared to most other countries. Can’t imagine it’ll have a particularly long life after this opening, although it does still have half term holidays next week in parts of the country.
-
Oh damn, that’s big for Ant man! OD is 75% of Ant Man 2 entire weekend. Looks like the UK is over performing compared to basically everywhere. £9m looks possible. Will probably be a bit frontloaded due to schools being off yesterday in the half the country.
Nice for PIB too, should stay flat this weekend or even increase
-
From what I’ve seen from a few locations, Ant Man pre sales actually look pretty good. The usual suspects such as Vue Stratford are selling out shows throughout the afternoon and evening tomorrow. Expecting a decent opening, maybe £7m or so. Ant Man 2 opened to almost £5m.

£5.2M PiB2
Wow, big opening! Gonna make mega money over half term, can see even £30m being a possibility

The market has been starved of a proper kids film since Matilda, and no animated film for months. Puss in Boots is going to capitalise on that, and coupled with the critical acclaim it has received as well as half term holidays from its 2nd week, it’s going to be raking it in.
The first one only opened to £2m, but that was in December. Wouldn’t be surprised if this doubled the first’s opening.

is 100 million for avatar likely?
It’s possible. Still looks like it’s going to be very close, so can’t really call it right now.

180% increase on Saturday for Avatar, crazy!

PATHAAN insane 330K opening day. Should be #1.
I was going to say, the pre sales for this at some cinemas in London are insane

A2’s Saturday jumps have been amazing.
Looking like £2.5-2.6m weekend and should have passed £67m. Still looking very close for $100m, but feel TGM is just a bit too much to catch. -
I thought she was saying £650k down from Saturday which would be £4.17m
-
Not sure what is going on, but if the £2.8m from Fri+Sat is accurate, I’d be expecting around £4.2-4.3m total weekend with a normal Sunday drop
-
That is not possible. Surely it will go up from that
-
BO is looking very healthy right now.
Amazing jump for Avatar, 2nd biggest 5th weekend of all time is in the bag, and around 25% from last weekend.

Friday 13th (a few sites still to report)
Avatar £821k
M3gan £806k
Whitney £318k
Empire £260k
Otto £206k
Thanks for the numbers as always!
Last Friday was £1.3m for Avatar? So seems around 37% drop week on week. Same drop for the weekend would be around £3.6m.

Decent for Shazam compared to its diabolical performance elsewhere, but still looking at ~45% drop from the first film
