  1. Episodes 9 & 10 titles and synopses. Behind spoilers just in case: Further book reader SPOILERS:
  2. Just think how boring of TV it would make to have Tyrion & Jorah in that camp outside the walls of Meereen for days. Zzzzzz. Glad they sped things up there.
  3. By far, this woman says everything the best about all this "outrage": http://www.rawstory.com/2015/05/all-hopefully-of-the-bad-arguments-about-rape-on-game-of-thrones-debunked/
  4. EXACTLY. Did people get up in arms when the SAME EXACT THING happened to Daenerys in the first couple episodes? No, because she hadn't become a favorite yet. It seems to me that some people ignore that rape happens and get upset when they're reminded of it being an actual thing. It's common now, was common in medieval times, and has always been horrible. But choosing not to see this won't make it go away.
  5. But, like I said above, that's entirely the point and what everyone, Theon included, was supposed to feel. That scene was OTT? Compared to many others that was pretty tame. Just be glad it didn't go as far as the book did.
  6. It's not glorifying anything. It's horrible and it's SUPPOSED to be. You're supposed to feel disgusted because it's a deplorable thing. Why don't people AT LEAST wait to see what comes of it? Book readers know at least half of what will happen now. ETA: And I don't know what the hell the Cleveland women have to do with it. That's reality. This is a TV show/books.
  7. How could anyone really be shocked by that? We knew they would marry, we knew he's crazy, how shocking could it really be? If anyone didn't see that coming, you haven't been paying attention.
  8. People need to realize that violence against women is probably a very realistic and common thing in a world/time like is GoT. It's not glamorizing or condoning anything. It's realism. It's horrible, but that's the point.
  9. It's also in the books (and much worse.) So, if they want to be angry with anyone, be angry with GRRM.
  10. As a woman myself, I must say I'm afraid that feminists get angry way too often. It fits with the character that is Ramsay. What'd they think would happen on the wedding night with that sociopathic lunatic?
  11. True, but it doesn't really make a lick of difference that it didn't look like that.
  12. Yeah, the #1 fan theory is pretty much confirmed at this point. I don't see how it's possible for it not to be true. What's your theory, Cedar? Put it in spoilers then let us know if you want us to tell you if you're right or not.
  13. FF7 is playing in a double feature with AOU on one of the screens at our area drive-in starting this weekend. That might help it go even higher.
  14. Well, if they really do plan on only 7 seasons, they kinda have to. That's a lot to wrap up in 26 remaining episodes.
  15. Hey numbers (or any other book readers), what do you think about this possibility:
  16. You do realize that something doesn't have to "happen" in every episode, right? There also needs to be characterization. Also, I think plenty happened. There were lots of goodies in the exposition & dialogue as well.
  17. Another GREAT episode. As a book reader, I got all giddy at the Rhaegar/Lyanna stuff. That ending though.
  18. Bran & co is not in this season. A lot has happened, I don't get that.
  19. It's only a poor story if you compare it TO the books. Just STOP doing that. Adaptation does not equal = exactly like the book. The characters are NOT the book characters and never were going to be. They didn't make this series just to cater to the book fans who cling to every detail. Just because they change something doesn't mean they don't understand the book characters. Maybe they simply didn't want to go that way on screen. Maybe they thought show watchers would like it better. Who knows? In fact I just skimmed over that post because I knew exactly what it would be and I couldn't care less. If you're going to keep watching it, just erase all your knowledge of the books at 8:59pm every Sunday and enjoy it for what it is. The books are and will always be there in their original glory for all to enjoy and to bring to life in your own imagination. Trust me, doing so and stopping the overanalyzation helps immensely. Both with your enjoyment of a great show and in not annoying everyone else with incessant book purist bitching. There are liberties, both good and bad, taken with every single written work that has been adapted to stage or screen. This is just how it is. The sooner everyone accepts that and stops comparing movie/TV Show to book/comic, the better off we'll all be.
  20. That's the one thing I missed. "Edd, fetch me a block." But this worked. VERY well too, at least according to Twitter. Oh, and I was terrified for a second that they'd actually have Arya throw away Needle. Was relieved they didn't go there.
  21. I friggin love Tommen. He's adorable, lol. I can live with the Winterfell storyline if
