Watching HBP on ABC Family right now, I remembered how much I loved the entire Felix Felicis / Slughorn Confession scene. Goes from hilarious (some hate the way Dan played that scene, I loved it, it was almost like the potion made him drunk and it was funny) to heartbreakingly touching. Perfection from Broadbent there.Slughorn: "Poof"Hagrid: "Poof"Harry: "....... Poof."

I'm pretty sure the producers have a big part in that. For effect. As it's the same way on every single competition show, whether it's dancing, singing, whatever. You know, how you always see people making fun of the holding up of the signs that say "Applause" etc? Some of it is authentic, but I'm pretty sure most of it is the producers telling the audience to react that way for effect.

HP fans do nothing of the sort. From what I can remember, all seem very well aware that both franchises are extremely frontloaded and have always said that.
