The WoW thing... she only said it's not *currently* on the 2015 schedule. Not that it couldn't be. DwD was announced in March 2011 and released 4 months later. Not that I think this will happen with WoW or that it will come out this year, but the media made this non-news into something that isn't there.

I'm outside of both fan bases and nothing about Seattle bothers me. They seem pretty harmless IMO. I love how this post turned into a "let's bash all sports America & Canada like" fest. Real mature.

I don't believe they went to Iceland this year for filming. I could be wrong though. *Googles* ETA: I am both right and wrong. It did film in Iceland very shortly, but mainly for landscape shots and no main cast was there.

I didn't say it wouldn't. However, making all that look good in 3D in 6 months is different than making car racing look good in 3D in a short time. That was my point that you totally missed.

I would imagine they were working on said 3D much earlier than that. It probably depended on how it looked as to whether or not they announced it. Besides, cars racing around is a hell of a lot different than what will be shown in MJ2.

They can't wait until after Insurgent to see if they would release MJ2 in 3D, regardless anyone's feelings on it. You think they'd be okay with 6 months to do a shitty post conversion for their finale? If they had ANY intentions of 3D for MJ2, they'd have shot it that way from the get go.

Well not really. TWD averages around 16.5-17m viewers per episode in season 5. GoT season 4 averaged 14.4 total viewers per episode. They're both rising though. It is weird, however, that TWD is so much lower than here. We 'Merrcuns love us some zombies, that's for sure.

Yes, but the 3D % was not that high. HG also has a larger wide audience from which to draw back. HP's was pretty set by then.

I think the MJ1 marketing was fine. There just was the whole "Part 1" thing and, as has been mentioned, most of the stuff that draws in the casuals is in Part 2. Kinda hard to overcome that no matter what.

The thing about MJ1 is that, the one thing it for sure does well no matter what you think of the entire movie, is set up Part 2 perfectly. I can't see the people that have seen the first 3 skipping this one (especially after seeing the trailers it should have), and those who skipped MJ1 in theaters will probably end up seeing it at home before MJ2 is out. It may not beat CF, but I think 400 is quite doable. DH2 increased almost $90mil from DH1. It's certainly not impossible. PLUS, if it kicks as much ass as it should (and they fix a certain gripe), the WOM should be wild.
