strictly speaking numbers, has summit earned back its BD1 budget+publicity budget?i'm always reading about how a film would have to do a certain amount before studio starts earning benefits!

just came back from my 4th viewing of breaking dawn 1 , it was great! glad to see its dailies are steady and doing pretty good for fourth outing in a series...in other news they just put up poster of tintin at my theatre , its the big movie i'm looking forward to in december besides oscar hopefuls!

what about compared to eclipse numbers? nice to see its doing reasonably well compared to new moon for half a movie!

just finished watching "drive" meh doesn't even cover it , the movie is soooo sloww i fell asleep when the girl's husband came back and talk to ryan gosling character in the hallway...next thing i know a gunshot woke me up and gosling is speeding away with hendricks character in his car! i ponder on rewinding to watch the 30mn its seems i missed but naaa , i somehow managed to watch till the end! anyway so some of you actually like the chances of this getting best pic nom? really? the only thing i liked about this movie was the soundtrack, i've gotta say great selection and use of score! and dear me its so weird to see gosling have no chemistry with his lead actress! i'm also pretty disappointed with carey mulligan after seeing her great turn in "an education" i haven't seen a movie of hers/performance that has wowed me! ps: sorry if this post should be elsewhere but i'm still new to navigating the site.

hi guys, i've vaguely heard about "moonstruck" over the years but never saw it not on tv or on dvd or online lol...its a rainy afternoon here and a cousin lend me her dvd of moonstruck so i'm finally going to see it.How about you what classic/popular or cult film have you yet to see or saw years later after it came out?

i admit curiosity got the better of me! so i peeked in, this is funny! i learned the hard way on BOM not to discuss twilight ,its like swimming in a tank with piranhas...its best to stick at discussing its box office numbers and life in theatre! less chance of getting upset, numbers are numbers after all

i'd love to see breaking dawn p1 get a nom in this category, its awesome and pretty scary how they turned kristen stewart into a skeleton-like pregnant woman, i've only ever seen people look like that in WW2 themed films! great work there!

yeah huh-huh...bella's birthday occurs in new moon! in eclipse she's being hunted by newborns vampires lead by victoria!have you even watched any of the twilight films? or they just didnt make a lasting impression( which is understandable if you're not a fan!)

as usual i'm super confused by your reactions to BD numbers, its a weekday! what exactly were you expecting like numbers 18-20m$?just wondering, coz among fans of the films reactions are very good esp given it wasnt many fav book of the series, i personally love it (its my third fav of series behind twilight and eclipse) and we're all planning on seeing it again and again, but i guess that's only us fans and general public might not be as interested!also would like to add, in my theatre BD1 was banned to kids under 14 even if film was pg13, at one point during the film security came in and made two young girls leave as they were clearly underage! so i'm wondering if this isnt a factor in its box office the tweens can't get in to see it! people might still want to believe that twilight is geared towards tweens and teenagers but crowd so far has been young adults and older women !at any rate i'll repeat the general consensus BD is not a fan favorite yet many fans are surprised they actually like the movie knowing that fact, i believe it will make it to 300m$, its doing similar numbers to other entries in the saga!
