  1. now some ? actors can brag i'm an oscar nominee for sh***t'g in the street cooocoool
  2. 9 movies really? what was the point of all that hoo-ha about changing things up so there might be a shorter list
  3. hello , i'm watching the australian open(tennis) roger federer is playing against juan martin del potro so i'll be up to see oscar noms live, will be first time in yrs i usually end up forgetting about it until late afternoon, nevermind full knowing the day before
  4. bravo l'ARTIST, really happy for them, i also saw jean dujardin acceptance speech at GG hilarious , he is soooo charming but i already knew that from following his career in france over past decade
  5. i don't understand how anyone going to see the artist doesnt know that its a silent film just came back from a 4.20pm showing of sherlock holmes 2, at my cinemai arrived just on time for the sequence before title, the movie was really goodi'd say it was about 70% full crowd-wisefor some reason i always have a bit of a pb getting into sherly tics, then what i found funny the first film was a bit redundant this trip the slow-motion recap of a fight that's about to happen then you have to watch it all over as it actually happens, they better drop that if they do a 3rd,by this point i'm enjoying myself yet wondering what the plot is about but downey's quirks and rapport with j.law have me laughing./near the end i'm wondering if they'll actually beat the bad guy thanks to downey control of the character i really feel like they're f'd then of course he wows me with the crazy end and i go "that's was brilliant , i love this movie" i need to watch this again...i only hope what happened with the first doesn't occur here too, just imagine i thought the same thing after the first one when i left theatre and i proceeded never to see it again not online not on dvd not even illegally or on tv(although since i don't own a tv that one has an easy explanation)still movie is easily a 7/10 ,hope they make a third one! i'd watch it.
  6. very nice number indeed go BD1! now i see it wasnt that farfetched that summit would set the dvd release for around valentine's day, if that is confirmed
  7. i was going to watch sherlock tonight but arrived 20mn late, give up and went home ,its cold weather was awful rainning and windy, so now i'm home with a hot cup of tea and about to watch OSS117 with jean dujardin....
  8. even if its improbable , i'd love to see dujardin beat clooney even if that means brad not winning, enough already with the georgelovefest

  17. heretic i just want to say i love love your signature...i nearly chose that LOTR quote as mine but i prefer mine, all the same they're in my top ten quotes for the trilogy if there was such a thing
  18. i don't think i saw beauty and the beast when it came out in theatre ,so i'm def looking forward to seeing it on the big screen, i knew all the dialogue songs included when i was younger, which happens when you leave a kid watch a movie at least once a day or more on weekends, that VHS got played to no end!
  19. this is one busy sunday, golden globes and australian open for tennisbut on the subject of who i want to see winbest drama anything HBO GoT or BE i'll be super happy anywaybest actress drama claire danes(like the actress) haven't seen the show but i'm planning to and i haven't seen any of the other shows(although i did watch the first season of the good wife but haven't since)best actor drama BE or BB don't mind either way, any chance they vould both win !for the comedies i have to admit save "psych" i don't watch sitcom/comedies on tv or online , last was friendsbest miniseries/motion pic for tv anything HBO (yeahhh i love me some HBO) although if i'm honest i'd be super happy if downton abbey won its a great show and mildred pierce was a bit tedious even if acting was superbbest actor/actress miniseries downton should win these two but the GG love kate winslet sooo either way i'd be happy for both and upset if anyone else wins as i haven't seen those other showsbest supporting actor miniseries peter dinklage GoT for the win!!!! :)best supporting actress miniseries kelly mcdonald for BE (i'm nearly done watching s2 3more episodes) and of course i wouldnt mind maggie smith for DA (i do confess i haven't watch s2 yet planning to asap i'm done with boardwalk)i have a bunch of shows pile up waiting to be viewed for example homeland and boss s1,nurse jackie s3....
  20. most WTF cancellation goes to firefly on FOX and kyle xy on ABCfamily i just rewatched kyle xy 3 seasons this week and felt so bereft and puzzle as to why they cancelled it, didnt even give it a proper chance to conclude, got the axe after season ended on a cliffhanger that give way to a great season4
  21. chump change! i wish i still had option to see it in theatre boo hoo ,what can i say twilight had me at hello!i still haven't read hunger games and no plans to in the near future, but there's always hope it took me until last january to finally read HP book series but from what i hear people like it so maybe films will break-out....a la twilight who knows?!
  22. have not watched this since the one and only time i watched it pre-oscar that year! can't believe to this day it beat benjamin button.I gave it a C because of that slight but mostly because as a fan of bollywood films i've seen many that had me in tears and where dance sequences&songs were wayyyyy better than in slumdog!yes i know slumdog is not a bollywood film but for something that had an all indian cast and setting , this is what got an oscar pfffffff
  23. bummer, i was really hoping BD1 would get nominated for best visual effects....come on the effects on bella's face and body were impressive, not fair
  24. gee baumer not even i could honestly say that transformers films are better than potters , that's stretching it real thin....that said transformers 1 was really well done no doubt about it, i loved it so much i bought the dvd asav!and well this discussion will be over real soon and left to posterity useless debates of what-ifs , it might get something its not impossible what who knows , it probably won't be what fans were hoping for but something will be better than nothing
