  6. I just watched the Dissapearence of Haruhi Suzumiya, the theatrical sequel to the Haruhi seires and HOLY SHIT!!! Very few times a theatrical movie adaptation of a TV show can surpass the quality of the TV show itself, an I do mean very few times. This is one of them. The entire Melancholy series was a build up to the Disappearence movie, and boy did it pay off. The playful tone of the show was toned down alot to make a strong contrast to a world without Haruhi and therefore the movie became more mature. All the characters from the show are given major development (Especially Yuki Nagato and Kyon), the story execution was fantastic, the animation was also fantastic, and all the little details from the show are connected here in many brilliant ways. And Nagato having emotions was the highlight of the movie for me. It almost makes me want to forgive Kyoto Animation for Endless Eight (I wont) Anyway, I loved the movie and I highly recommend it.
  7. I just finished The Melacholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (in chronological order). Its about a High School girl who is a God but she doesn`t know she is a God and all her friend do everything they can to not let her know that because she could cause the end of the world. Its a weird trip worth watching. Kyons sarcastic narration is what made the show for me. If only Kyoto Animation never had the balls of repeating the same motherfucking episode 8 fucking times (yes, I am talking about endless eight) my enjoyment would have been alot higher. If you are gonna watch Haruhi, please just watch episodes 1,2 and 8 of the Endless Eight arc and skip 3-7. You are not gonna miss a thing. I still have to watch the Disappearance movie.
  8. Number of tickets sold on the weekend of January 29th-January 31th: 01.- POINT BREAK- 44.307 (-27,0%) (464.197). 02.- THE FIFTH WAVE - 41.990 (-14,6%) (135.202). 03.- ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: ROAD CHIP - 30.668 (-25,1%) (185.696). 04.- THE REVENANT - 25.139 (NEW). 05.- CREED - 15.574 (NEW). 06.- THE GOOD DINOSAUR - 10.185 (-44,7%) (704.792). 07.- EL MALQUERIDO - 7.073 (-46,9%) (292.083). 08.- JOY - 6.589 (-45,7%) (60.599). 09.- SISTERS - 6.443 (NEW). 10.- THE BIG SHORT - 4.825 (-59,4%) (26.405).
  9. Just finished all 2 season of Sword Art Online. The first season was very frustrating in the sense that has a plotline with a lot of potential for greatness that in the end gets wasted. I also did not liked how Asuna went from a badass character into a typical damisel in distress in the second half, the whole cousin relationship was unnecesary and way too many time jumps in the first half. The last two episodes really saved this for me. The second season though, was a VAST improvement over season one. The whole Gun Gale Online storyline was very exciting, and Sinon was the best character of the series for me. Though the Excalibur thing was total filler, I really liked what came next (Mother`s Rosario) because not only redeemed Asuna`s character, but it also gave her more backstory and her relationship with Yuuki was very touching for me. It has a lot of flaws but is still a very enjoyable anime.
  10. Number of tickets sold on the weekend of January 22th-January 24th: 01.- POINT BREAK - 60.701 (-23,3%) (368.776). 02.- THE FIFTH WAVE - 49.166 (NEW). 03.- ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: ROAD CHIP - 40.961 (-15,3%) (131.233). 04.- THE GOOD DINOSAUR - 18.402 (-38,6%) (684.445). 05.- EL MALQUERIDO - 13.327 (-32,3%) (274.838). 06.- JOY - 12.125 (-25,0%) (44.812). 07.- THE BIG SHORT - 11.882 (NEW). 08.- STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS - 9.335 (-56,1%) (725.308). 09.- THE PEANUTS MOVIE - 8.201 (-48,7%) (272.487). 10.- GOOSEBUMPS - 3.693 (-37,2%) (442.304). Keep in mind that Big Short opened in a limited number of theatres so its OW numbers is pretty good
  11. Fox should just put this thing on May 2018. Avatar feels more like a summer movie than a christmas movie anyway.
  12. I saw Joy this monday (I really liked it BTW), honestly I am surprised it didnt do better considering Edgar Ramirez is in the movie too. Insted the shittier movie of his (Point Break) is doing better. Shame.
  13. Just finished Parasyte. I really liked it. Feels like a gory version of Spiderman And that opening song is SICK.

  15. I just finished Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. Its about a guy who gets his name and memory erased and gets trained by a girl named Phantom to become an assasin for a mafia group called Inferno. A very good anime if you love action in the vein of Black Lagoon. It has 26 episodes. The soundtrack is really amazing too.
  16. Hopefully the movie gave the Peanuts franchise enough exposure so that a sequel (If it happens) can improve OS
  17. Number of tickets sold on the weekend of January 8th-January 10th: 01.- POINT BREAK - 74.010 (NEW). 02.- THE GOOD DINOSAUR - 45.395 (-2,8%) (587.660). 03.- STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS - 44.420 (-28,0%) (653.255). 04.- THE PEANUTS MOVIE - 30.115 (-19,0%) (221.950). 05.- EL MALQUERIDO - 26.410 (+9,3%) (199.265). 06.- IN THE HEART OF THE SEA - 10.570 (-38,4%) (97.905). 07.- HOTEL TRANSILVANNYA 2 - 8.945 (-4,2%) (1.429.410). 08.- GOOSEBUMPS - 7.495 (-2,4%) (421.885). 09.- LOVE THE COOPERS - 7.435 (-36,4%) (73.515). 10.- THE LITTLE PRINCE - 4.490 (-52,1%) (30.815).
  18. It was a very varied audience. It was mostly parents with children but there where also young adult couples, some elder people here and there, some teens. But the important thing is that they all end up loving the movie. Heck, many people stayed during a good portion of the credits (myself included), and that usually never happens unless its a Marvel movie.
  19. I never read a single strip of Peanuts nor I ever watched any TV specials of this. And yet this has become my favorite movie of 2015!!!! Loved the characters, the humor, the animation, the music, everything. I left the theatre with a giant smile on my face. Not even Force Awakens made me feel this good. I really hope they make a sequel with the same crew in the future.
  20. Are you really gonna blame Leo for hitting TFA weekend drop ??? Now I really want Leo to win best actor. The meltdowns will be epic
