  1. He doesn't even look good looking to me although i'm a straight guy so that probably explains that! . Sorry fishnets.
  2. 'Need......very........early........Tuesday......estimates.............'
  3. To be fair, it was kind of an 'inside joke', there are the odd members on here that would post something almost as extreme as i did and mean it!. Example- a film gets a 10mil weekday number - "this film is hitting 400mil for sure!", the same film gets a revised actual of 9mil on the same day - "Damn in, the film is barely going to make 300mil now".
  4. Its down 100k with actuals, this isn't hitting 400mil.
  5. I love how there are so many 'experts' who know the ins and outs of whats needed for a film to hit 600mil even though we have only ever had 2 films in history do that!. So a 22mil May first Monday gaurantees 600mil, really.
  6. I had it finishing at about 550mil and that was with 70mil weekdays for this week and a 100mil 2nd weekend, i really do think some people are over predicting its final gross.
  7. Yeah but don't forget that it was still making double figure weekends when Alice in Wonderland took all its screens, many people on Mojo at the time said the film would of easily cleared 800mil if it had kept its screens and i agree.
  8. IMO yes but i'm biased as i'm a big fan of the film but it didn't bat an eyelid when Sherlock and Chipmunks opened (in fact it almost held flat!) and its drops were tiny every week no matter what opened against it, it was just one of those films that people wanted to see regardless what else came out.
  9. Yeah i could imagine a 20mil ow film getting 10x legs (didn't that 'My Greek Wedding film do that?) but i can't see a 50+mil ow film getting 10x legs again, not for a long time anyway.
  10. Yeah i agree fully with your TA points, i just don't like it when people try to downplay AVATAR's achievements, 10x legs for a mainstream film will probably never happen again.
  11. AVATAR had 2 200mil+ grossing films to compete with from its 2ND weekend!, no one can say it didn't have competiton.
  12. I always had the impression that in 3D movies the actual print was brightened to counter the glasses.
  13. I love Jurassic Park and it was a phenom in 1993, i'm not sure it would gross 700mil if it was released today instead of 1993 though and thats why i don't think adjusting films grosses work (especialy from different eras).Anyway it will be interesting to see what TA does over the coming weeks, it will also be interesting to see peoples reactions when the film comes well short of 600mil which it will imo.
  14. I like 3D (filmed in 3D) but as long as there are both options then i don't see what difference it makes, surely its better to have the choice than not.
  15. Not a Batman vs Superman film though, i hate vs films anyway and that paticular one has always made me laugh as how in hell would Batman stand a chance against Superman?.
  16. The weekend number has effected peoples judgement imo. TA opened to what $40mil more than TDK and it has similar levels of wom and TDK could 'only' reach 533mil so i only see TA reaching 550mil tops, if i'm wrong then i'm wrong and i won't care either way as i liked the film, i just feel people are overreacting.
  17. To be honest, that scene never bothered me much, there were many other scenes that annoyed me more including the Blu-Ray releases with the stupid 'No......Nooooooo' at the end of ROTJ when Vader throws the Emperor over the ledge, Lucas is so stupid that he doesn't realise that it worked so much better when Vader didn't speak, you just saw his face/mask and amazingly you could feel his pain through the mask.
