Does anyone know what the record is for the biggest drop off from one film to the next in a franchise? Alice Through the Looking Glass has to have a shot at that, right? Going from $334M to most likely under $100M is hilariously awful. I can't think of anything that has even come close to that.
Episode 8 next year

But Alice was tracking better than Xmen...guess not

franchise may have peaked, at least domestic

It was probably stupid for Paramount to move back the release date back 2 weeks, a lot weaker competition on the old July 8th date only would have to contend with Ghostbusters the following week

not a good poster, Chris pine is too big, he can't sell the movie. Simon Pegg is on the poster but not fan favorite Karl Urban, weird no reference for IMAX

QuoteOverall the footage emphasized a sense of ‘fun’ yet grounded it with the emotional malaise of its lead character – a balance the film ably achieved (albeit in ten minutes). The whole Fan Event reflected the futurist sensibilities of Star Trek, a pure and optimistic hope for a better tomorrow. In such spirit, I too hope Star Trek Beyond is every bit as good tomorrow as it was today.

Critically Maligned? STID had 87% on RT.
it even has 90% audience approval on RT, proof if a few nerds scream loud enough on the internet, it means everyone hates it

65m ow / 200m domestic if reviews are decent
-
I don't see why they hid the trailer, its seems if you liked the reboot you will enjoy this. If you hated the last two, you'll still hate this one
I guess no woman removing her top in the trailer this time

well I guess its not delayed, Paramount has spent more money on lawsuits on fan films then on marketing the film so far
-
that does not sound right, maybe just a fan screening, premieres even for bombs are sooner than a day before

fun movie

Angry Birds for the win
MEH-MORIAL DAY WEEKEND BOX OFFICE | Abandon all hope, the box office is dead. 3 day weekend #s X-Men 65M, Alice 28.1M, Angry Birds 18.7M, Civil War 15.1M, Neighbors 9.1M. Bad openings, horrible holdovers.

Hard to believe X-men Origins: Wolverine the worst X-men film that leaked onto the internet early will open high than Apocalypse and propbably have a higher total domestic
