  1. LOL, that one I did watch. I watched lots, if not all, of Disney animations as well as many other animated movies, but I didn't remember much about cartoon shows/series. Should I sue them?
  2. Is it still on track to reach $50M total?
  3. Still the best superhero origin movie for me. Good blend of humor, action, emotion, great character arcs, intriguing origin story. RDJ gave one of his best performances in the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man; and I'm happy that this role also helped renew, boosting his status in Hollywood. The movie was also a dream come true for an Iron Man fan like me, to be able to see my favorite character get brought onscreen and done justice, it's just great. Nothing in other superhero movies has come yet to replace the cave scenes as my favorite scenes ever; Avengers assembling scenes/tracking shots came kinda close though, but mainly cause I'm also an Avengers fan, so it's all sentimental. I especially love the character of Yinsen, the kind man who helped shape and influenced the change in Tony Stark into the hero he is now. Iron Monger might not be a great villain, not even close; but Obadiah Stane is, at least for me. The slimy, backstabbing, despicable, power-hungry industrialist bastard put great physical damages on Tony Stark. But what more cruel is that he's who Tony thought of as ally, friend, mentor; thus, the psychological and emotional damage he inflicted that sure to stay are much more of why I think he's the best Iron Man villain yet. I adore Pepper Potts in this movie, not much in IM2, and she was okay for me in IM3. I love her for who she is, an independent, stern, charismatic, and kind woman. I also love her relationship with Tony Stark this early: flirty, teasing, snarky boss-secretary; I like how she understands him, how she can put up with his shit, but also can tell him off. Overall, yes, it's definitely one on the Top 10 of my most favorite superhero movies, and the best origin story. It's an A
  4. I would be very happy with a run and total finish similar to Super 8 considering its OW Anything above that seems reaching but I definitely root for the chances, however small they are.
  5. SR was a disaster in many people's eyes quality wise, but it's nowhere near a BO disaster. And LOL, definitely, let's take pride in Superman, one of the most well-known superheroes, beating Cap and Thor, who were virtually unknown characters to GA worldwide Both IM1 and IM2 doesn't have inflation as well as 3D to boost the gross. Take out just 3D and not counting inflation, MOS will probably be around IM2 number, and not significantly bigger than IM1 either. And let's not forget, Iron Man was a complete no name at the time of its release too, to put this in proper perspective But sure, let's compare them to MCU movies, forget the Spiderman movies, or Batman movies, that's convenient. I'm happy for MOS success, but this post, cannot resist
  6. Well, good for you We all like what we like. What's your most favorite thing about it? Emo Peter would be mine
  7. Can TITE make it to 100M? I hope it will, but there are just so many new releases coming up.
  8. You lucky bastard :PSo, what do you see for total, 20M looks possible from what you said, but how about 25M?
  9. 2.5M next weekend would mean under 50% drop, I hope it can do that but it seems hard with so many new releases and a sure sizable drop in TC. Though drops for blockbuster usually stabilize, and are less harsh later in the run, so it's definitely possible, 45% drop would be nice.
  10. I feel the same way. Actually, only TDK is on par or better than Burton's Batman for me.
  11. Thanks, simple pic but informative. I feel so embarrassed right now for forgetting that
  12. Thanks for the info. Seems like I must consider reviewing my knowledge on world geography.
  13. Really? I don't know that. I thought that's just an Australian thing
  14. MOS has the advantage of summer weekdays though.
