That’s actually a pretty apt comparison lol. The 2014 Brazil vs. Germany was certainly a game for the ages. One of the thousands memes coming from that mess that stuck with me most was this one -
Worse multi than BvS is virtually impossible with the holiday season. 2.4x is my guess. It can certainly go either way. But I don’t see something as bad as say 2.1/2.2

Seems an ok number to me. Not great considering 15M (1/3 of it) already come from China. But not bad either. 160M-175M OS weekend? Or am I lowballing it? Can’t see 200M though. -
They’re too desperate to have their own Avengers but they foolishly went ahaead with the idea of BvS, which in itself, is one of the reasons responsible for JL downfall here. You have that one chance at a novelty hook and you blew it early. Then the panicking course correction for JL from shorter run time, to “lighter” tone, to bringing Whedon on board scream “let’s ape Marvel (but we actually have no idea what makes Marvel works)”

I kinda want to check it out this weekend. I don’t want to go alone but my only option is with my BF. And considering his reaction toward BvS, I don’t think asking him to go watch JL with me is a wise decision for the sake of our relationship. I’ll probably get to see it eventually over the holiday break.

I love how 2 of our most valuable insiders are quite different in their personalities. One seems chill and playful while the other is savage af. It’s a pretty great balance lol.

Y’all wasting time argue about villains when the appeal of Marvel movies have always been on the heroes. If IW seeing big drop off from Ultron, it’s gonna be because it has like 40+ characters in it. The only hook that movie has right now is Avengers meet Guardians (which I’m sure will be the focus marketing point). Whether that will be enough for GA we’ll see.
