4815162342
I can't fault him for giving high spots to Moneyball and Win Win, but I will judge him harshly for his affection for Tree of Life

CoolioD1
I've only seen half those films, but 4/5 would make my best of the year list, so mad props to Wells even if he's a bit ridiculous sometimes... ok maybe more than a bit ridiculous, and maybe a little bit more than just sometimes.... 4815162342
Really big year for Chastain being all over the place.I thought Texas Killing Fields was going to be a 2012 release though (EDIT: Never mind I just saw it was released in October apparently) Edited December 11, 2011 by 4815162342
CoolioD1
Janet McTeer in Albert Nobbs is such an overrated performance. Everyone saying she owns Close are kidding themselves!
rockNrollaDIM
You saw Nobbs? I think it looks funny in a bad way.

CoolioD1
Yeah, it's been online for ages now. And I wouldn't call it funny in a bad way.... I'd call it the worst movie I've seen all year... in a bad way. Close is kinda decent but Janet McTeer is outright bad.

CoolioD1
I wish these groups would just pick one Chastain film to award her. It would help her A LOT in the Oscar race.

I've lurked there a bit, they really seem to latch on to certain films/performances. And they're all very bitchy. I tried going there now but it's so congested, takes forever to load a thread. Yeah, even if it's for a film I don't care to see/support, I dunno, I just can't get past stealing it. 90% of this is not wanting to watch a movie on my laptop. That should only be reserved for planes/trains/buses.

fishstick
Boston gives Actress to Michelle Williams LA gives Supporting Actress to Chastain for all 5937835 films she appeared in  I can see some big split coming up which is well-deserved for appearing in 5937835 movies in one year. I don`t care how talented she is, nobody asked for her to be in eevrything. So if it backfires, c`est la Oscar season.
acsc1312
Chastain should be narrowed down the Tree of Life and The Help imo. Tree of Life was minimal dialogue, but beautiful acting; The Help was a lively performance, but phenomenal. Either one she deserves.

All of these films were filmed at completely different times, several got delayed and they all ended up being released at once...
