I dug Hatchet 1, but thought the 2nd one was pretty bland and boring.

Yeah the third one got better, but I agree that part 2 was probably the worst of the 3

YES!  That's why I recognize the film.  I remember reading about her being in it.  Ok, I'll find it.

This movie really creeps me out. The outfit itself is pretty scary but the POV shot of the girl being carried by him and the dude's blurred POV shots and muted reaction after being shot with the nail gun really freak me out.

Pretty good and effective slasher. In fact I'd say it's one of the better slashers out there. Cool killer, cool setting, solid kills, likable characters etc. However, there is no nudity and that's a minus when it comes to movies like this.
