Goddamn that was good, didn't think I would enjoy it this much, especially because I had the ending spoiled beforehand.

Example of good filmmaking and perfect casting. Ending is powerful as hell even if you know what will happen.

I think my only complain would be the scene where Thelma and Louise shots the truck, they definitely crossed the line there.

and oh, it looked GREAAT in the theater I saw.

People forget what a great piece of filmmaking this is because the ending has become so iconic and so engrained in pop culture (with spoofs in everything from The Simpsons to Family Guy and The Naked Gun) that it has overshadowed the film itself.

But when you watch the film, you remember that everything clicks. Great Oscar winning script. Fantastic performances. Amazing chemistry between the two leads. Gorgeous cinematography. Killer country-tinged soundtrack. Tonally it's all over the place: one minute it's funny and goofy, the next it's a serious drama, then suddenly it's very violent, and then it's an action movie! But it always works thanks to Ridley Scott's fluid direction.

I  mean this is a major studio movie that makes you fall in love with the lead characters, then kills them! (albeit in a triumphant way).

I live in Brazil. Cinemark is showing one remastered "classic" per week, they have been doing that since 2014. Last month we got Rear Window, American Beauty, Trainspotting, and Thelma and Louise. This next season is about to start, they are showing Casino, Goodfellas, Godfather 2 and Pulp Fiction.

Lucky. I'd love to see all those on the big screen.
