Weekend Estimates | TF4 - 100M (Paramount sticking to 100M for the Wknd Est)| More Numbers on Page 1

Recommended Posts

.10Th UPDATE, MONDAY, 9:43 AM: The first big controversy of box office in the sixth months since I’ve been reporting erupted this AM as Paramount Pictures put the final three-day domestic cume of Transformers: Age of Extinction at $100.038M as its opening weekend for the fourth installment. “They’re lying,” said one distribution head at a major studio. Said another, “I don’t get get it.  Is it just arrogance? What is the point of inflating your box office numbers? So they can claim the first $100M movie opening of the year? Oh please, who cares? It’s a great opening anyway.”

The arrogance of BOF is thinking Paramount's fudging is in our control, and not the other way around

Would anyone bother to call them out if they went with $100,056,745 or something like that?

They know they clearly didn't make $100m but it's almost an insignificant amount over.

how close were you LOL  100,038,390

I'm never supporting the work of TJ Miller again.

Related: you should try Gravity Falls. If you like Korra, it's much better than Book 1 and 2 at least

I don't even understand. How did Katniss get robbed? Of what?

Being first 100M OW of the year

Al Gore didn't even ask for a recount when he won the popular vote and lost Florida when Bush's uncle said fuck off to a recount.

The motherfucking world could be different and the bastard just shrugged his shoulders. (or was paid off  )

Paramount maybe fudged $2.3m from TF4's first week gross to its weekend. TF4 is still going to decline 30% from TF3. Mockingjay is still going to beat its OW by at least 50%. None of the $90m openers would have opened above TF4. No one in the world knows or cares about this either than the Deadline intern.

It's like people need to manufacture drama.

Unrelated, but anyone here see Recount? A bit generic but I thought it was good

Now go see T2, that's even damner good.

That's not expiring today so I didn't bother. Will be seeing it soon though

Empire is onto your twisted plan.

Yeah, I am onto you Blank.

We should battle. To the death!

Book 3 is quite good so far though. Really liking the current storyline.

Hmmm, good to hear

I don't care. I wear my Blankments likes proudly.

I LOVE my Blankments likes.

I love all of my likes. But those Blankments and Empire Likes are just wonderful.

I love y'all too! :)

It only looked? Wasn't it generic?

It's a legit question. I didn't watch it.

IDK, I didn't see it. Just saying the ads looked generic

Did you like Terminator & Goldfinger?

Oh, and did you watch & like Close Encounters?

Saw them all

Close Encounters was great until the end which almost ruined the whole movie for me. First two-thirds was amazing Spielberg though.

Loved Terminator. Only issues I had with it were some of the effects are dated now, but that's about it. Perfect film really.

Goldfinger I was eh on. It was good, but overrated from what I heard of it.

Goldfinger is classic and good, but From Russia With Love has a very different feel to it. It's lots of Bond fans' favorite.

Personally, I've always enjoyed the heck out of Thunderball. I love it because it's always just felt like the classic Bond movie in my head. It hits all the right Bond cliches.

Also, OHMSS is incredible!

I still like Casino Royale best *shrug*

It has ended. Paramount ain't budging now.

Can't budge the fudge
