And you have to keep the ER at the time in mind. For example HP1 would have grossed roughly $400M instead of $290M if it were released in the 2nd quarter of 2008. That's also without taking account of inflation and the 3D boost.

It's certainly very important to keep that in mind. In admissions Titanic probably crushes everything else given it was released in 1998!

In France it's still the biggest movie ever in admissions!
