I really didn't enjoy it that much for the first half hour but at some point, it really just clicked for me. Gosling's performance was amazing and really the first time I was impressed by the actor, while Mortimer is always a welcome presence. I liked the entire cast really, and I realized the story wasn't making fun of Lars' love for Bianca; it was more about the town coming together for one man's happiness. It ended up being way more idealistic than I expected, so I felt really pleasant once it was over. A
