Not as funny as the first, but still pleasant.

This is the definition of a good director getting bogged down by other bad creative decisions. It looks gorgeous and a lot of the character animation is a joy to watch. The script however is full of cringe worthy pop culture references and some of the oddest product placement I've ever seen in an animated movie. Voice-acting is alright; Mel Brooks is good for his brief time, and the child voice actor adds a lot to that character. I also didn't see much of a point to a romantic subplot between four-year-olds. It was whatever, won't be seeing it again, but a decent way to spend 90 minutes. C

It was good but thinking about Selina Gomez being the mother of a 5 year old was really weird.

Saw this with my son and some of his friends. I haven't seen the original so I didn't have any expectations. I enjoyed it. The story was okay but it had a good amount of humor. It was a good looking film. I would get the DVD.
