It was really weird seeing this directly after watching the remake. They are very much two completely different films aside from some basic plot details and such.

 

Still I really enjoyed this version as much as the new one. It’s use of color is astounding and the score by Goblin is amazeballs. Definitely worth seeing the film for those two things alone.

Watched this in class with really distracting Portuguese subtitles in 360p so I don't feel comfortable giving it a rating. That said, this was a load of fun, with a lot of great camp. The score is easily the highlight, but honestly, this whole movie is the definition of silly horror with just enough disturbing elements to be really enjoyable. Will definitely revisit before that remake comes out because I wanna have a more solid opinion on it, but yeah, this is really delightful.
