I took the game's tradition of inflating for strong reception into account

Still if anything I feel Bambi may be divisive but then again BTB did about $170M DOM.

I’m a bit curious about the 5 day rundown for TUSG.

No it’s the 15th, @cookie said so.

Honestly since I don't want to have to correct everyone constantly I'm okay if we pretend I didn't make the move and let it open on the 17th as the schedule says. I don't think two days earlier is actually beneficial in the end with the December calendar.

I just got to ask why?

Splatoon has no family competition surrounding it and is right after Summer break starts. TLBH would be way past played out by then.

Static Shock I dunno lol, I just enjoy WTF breakouts

Even my most generous have TLBH at low double digits in the weekend before Splatoon opens so there's definitely a hole for it to fill.

Regarding Pillars, I don’t think the length would be an issue for a few reasons:

  1. The Dark Knight Rises is eight minutes shorter and opened to $160m
  2. Return of the King is 27 minutes longer and its five-day adjusts to $185m
  3. I’m pretty sure a certain movie opening 24 days from now that’s expected to be nine minutes longer will render point one and two redundant anyhow.

Overall point being if the demand is there theaters will make sure it’ll be met.

I didn't even look at the runtime while reading Pillars 2. I only learned it was 173 minutes after just now looking it up lol.

I guess it felt like a fairly breezy 173 minutes for the most part.

Pillars 2 will overperform as it is the only real PG-13 4 quadrant film of the holiday season.

I think the entire Holiday slate really lucked out on lacking competition.
